| Man sorry to be so bold but I took a shot of the collection today. This is actually the first time I put them all in one spot for a shot. Wow, I had no idea it looks like one of the gatherings in my living room. I was actually thinking of going for one of the new Slothead Adamas's! I must be on a complete mental overload. Enough is enough.
Front: Adamas 1's 1587-7 & -8, Adamas 1 1688-7, Custom made Elite 5 string bass.
Seated: Custom Legend 1769, The Doubleneck, My Deepbowl Classical cutaway! and the MM68 Mando.
Back: Jim Rickard's Deacon, And my great old Beaten up Classical!
Great Guitars! And what beauty along with the functionality!
I posted a new shot in the gallery under results of GAS.
I will try and carry it over to here but I am not good at this so it may not work. Take a look.

Yeah... Ten guitars may be alittle compulsive. I only have seven, and only one of them is REALLY cool! The rest a just pretty-cool, sorta-cool and okay. (But yours are all O's)

| I know this is showing off, that is a lot of guitars and these are just the O's but in case you don't know there are only a couple more guitars and basses anymore. In case you did not notice, am a big fan of Ovation equipment. And yes that Black cutaway deep bowl is "almost" as good as the old shiny bowl classical in the back, they both boom the low end and I'd have to say I put them up against any classical I have ever played. Everyone of these instruments stands out quite well in comparison with any traditional guitar of the same value! The doubleneck is the least acoustically pleasing of the bunch but the looks of this along with the electronics make up for any of it's natural faults! I only use this for a short part of one set and it is plugged in so it is as much for show as anything else. I get comments on them all everytime! Ovation has the "show" factor advantage over the other guy's everytime. Anyone would have to admit that group of Ovations is a thing of beauty!
Ohh yeah, I do get around to using most of these on a regular basis I have been talked into doing a solo act by my duo partner to help him cover gig's he can't get to, so I am using all the Adamas's, the Mandolin, and the Black Classical.
With the dup I add the Bass and the doubleneck when we know we have room to set up. Often there is no space so I have to cut down on the show.
I love making my partner's two "Great" Taylor Guitars look like a bogger next to my bunch! He has two fantastic acoustic's and if I had to buy a traditional guitar I'd buy one just like his, they are great guitars but no one know's it! Sadly, to most people they look like a $100 made in china acoustic guitar you can buy anywhere. They just do not understand, but they know the Ovations are special.
I figure ten years of playing a weekend gig or two every once in a while and I will have these paid off!
Thanks for the comments guy's this is three years of GAS and I think I am over it now.

| Mark I'd like to see a shot yours all in one spot as well. That anniversary Legend I sold you sounds better than the one I kept. I am glad it stayed within. Bring it to the factory in May see what they can do..........???????? I'd like to jam a song with ya Mark.

Location: Boise, Idaho | The only one purchased new was the first one we bought back in 1977, the Matrix (bottom left). All the rest we bought within the last couple years (after I became a real Ovation Fan). The next new one will be the OFC. One every 30 years, I guess.
The last to go might be the 1537. Many of the rest have a ding or two. The 1537 and the 87 Collector are going to my daughters, though. That means the Ute or the 30th Ann. CL might have to be the last, but it would be tough to find another 1614 in almost mint condition.
