I've seen these sell for twice that price, and worth every penny. Moody has one and it's wonderful. Somebody please buy it before I look at it again. http://cgi.ebay.com/Ovation-40th-Anniversary-Glen-Campbell-1627-4-G...

I paid $370 more than this one is going for, and Al said I got a hell of a deal. This price is the best I've seen. Moody made me do it!! Aw go ahead Dave.....

If you want to put the new preamp in an older guitar, put it in the waist and plug the hole for the old preamp. The new preamp sounds lightyears better than the old one.....

I believe our resident dick was trying to make the point that the newer p/a sounds better than the original, while hoping that using some pseudo-scientific term might add a smig of credibility to his claim. The SoCal adoption agency doesn't have any room at the present time so he brought it into the Southwest branch. Didn't want to risk it ending up outside the OFC, too nice of a guitar and too good of a deal. He says it'll hold him over until his custom comes in. It's not a keeper and if it's a "must have" for anyone just contact him. I'd be happy to act as the go between. StandingO doesn't like to communicate directly with very many people these days. Maybe I'm old-school Ovation, but they just don't make 'em like this anymore. It's always been an incredibly easy guitar to play and with the Savarez 520P's it's very bright and surprisingly loud for a mid-bowl.

Heard lots of good things about this RI, I'm a big GC fan and there are zero avaliable here. Now I've got a GC12'er on layaway until I move house in April and now this baby coming probably mid year. ....only problem is I have absolutely now idea what story/excuse/justification I'm gonna use
