And I got an immediate GAS attack seeing all the fine guitars. Watching Tuppy play that Kala ook was great...I hope to take that back on the plane with me on Sunday. And Moody had a lot of nerve to play "The Highwayman." That song has at least 4 chords in it. How DOES he do it? Anyway, I am really jazzed up (jazz is 5 chords, right?)about finally getting to go this year. Maybe some of Paul T's talent and Alpep's cool will rub off on me while I'm there...if I'm lucky. How many extra banjos should I bring? LOL!

DeWabbit} for some damn fine, and I'm sure time consuming, production work. Without much to work with John turned what could have been static, boring shots into something dynamic, interesting and creative. He makes everyone look good. As good as last years DVD was, this one really conveys the mojo of the event. But even as much fun as it looks it's still nothing like "Being There!!". Second... this disc reminded me of just how much raw talent, real talent from all levels, resides in this membership. I got such a kick hearing Paul play my Breadwinner. And I'm glad Schroeder's little number made to the disc. And Matt Smith just kicks ass. And Rick Hall. And then there is Kim Keller letting his freak flag fly. And on & on. And for all the talent at these gatherings I have never once seen an inflated ego of any sort. Proffesional musicians to members of the Cowboy Chord Crowd mix and mingle as equals with the love of music and Ovations being the common denominator. Wether you can "Be There" or have "Been There" or may never get the chance, you'll get a kick out of this DVD.

It has been noted before by others that if you put a movie camera in my hands for any length of time, somewhere down the line I can become a real PITA. Less is never more for me. Personal space, which I am normally very aware of, can be violated. So... If I crossed a line anywhere, I apologize. If I act up at the next tour please let me know. And now that I see it, that close up the strawberry waffle kinda creeps me out. Maybe it was the angle.
