Hey Bill, did you personally build this one as claimed by the seller? If so, somebody should tell him that it would lower the price, not double it...

This one was just up for auction (ended earlier today) max bid was $1500 but didn't make reserve. Now it's $5,000. Wow Bill can you sign my 1537? Actually isn't that your dad's signature?

Naw... it's Bill's paltry scratching.
prolly just a rubber stamp at that!!!
His dad is Charles H. Kaman

Somebody needs to set this seller straight on what they've actually got.

I did get a rubber stamp but I always smudged the sides.
As you all have figgered out all I did for this one was sign the lable., Might have played it, it looks pretty early with the extra logo on the back of the bowl.

I think I've seen this seller before. He has a habit of... shall we say, being overly generous in describing his wares. If you have an EBay acc't send him a message and set him straight. He'll reply with something sheepish and modify his description.

heh heh... He's already changed the wording of his auction and responded to the messages sent to him.

Bill, he's skeptical that you are who you say you are. Although he is VERY kind to your reputation.
He is an important figure in the history of guitar making as well as in the business world.
Come to think of it, are you sure you are who you say you are???

I've always been impressed that Bill could write so well through the soundhole, especially the little ones on the Elites. I bet he could put one of those ships into a little bottle, too. I've never been able to figure out how they did that, either.

that's supposed to be a secret, cliffie. Did it really tickle that much when the side of the sound hole rubbed up against it? Sounds like somethin a guitar homo would do and like...

Uh, Al ... about the labels for the OFC guitar ... is it too late to request one of the stamped versions with the smudges?

Sittin' here in my underwear...

I'M BILL KAMAN - LEADER OF INDUSTRY AND GUITAR GURU!!!

It wasn't the rubbing against the soundhole that got to him, it was the shaking to get the ink to flow.

Maybe I don't exist at all. That means I can go anywhere and do anything and no one will know! This could get interesting!!!
I guess the problem remains that I still can't play or sing worth a spoo so even if no one can hear it, I can.

Actually Cholloway, If you check in the Hamer ads and their support stuff you'll see that Jol Dantzig is the Guru.

I see what you mean Bill. Although your status, here at the OFC, will remain unchanged!

Joe races Porsches, or at least he used to, so that's probably why he's one up on you. I hope this guy doesn't drive the price up on the OFC guitar before I get it paid for. I see that the auction ended without a bid.

I had several nice emails with this guy. He visited the OFC and learned a bunch about his guitar and I guess decided not to sell it, decided to keep it.
Good Move!
Another happy ending.

Don't know... His signature-count is already pretty well up there.
He'll end-up with more guitars with numbers for names...

This is what we do in the future. It is the future of our past right now. This is my future and it's your future. We share our futures together. When I was a kid I thought of what it would be like in the future. I never dreamed it would be like this. But Here we are in it. Is there Soylentgreen here? O well I guess I can eat just about anything. This is like guitarland Heaven. I Hope. (If anyone wants to use the lyrics of this song please feel free perhaps Lanaki could use these lyrics)
