Greetings!

As we have snuck up on that merry time once again (and we just finished picking up the empties from last year's party - j/k), mrs stonge and I cordially invite any and all to our post-OFC cookout in East Hartford, CT on Saturday, May 19th, 2007 at 2pm. Please join us for hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers (for our non-carnivorous friends) with beer, wine and soft drinks. Plenty of jamming (including a couple of Hamers and some amps in the blast room downstairs), pinball, ping-pong, and billiards (on the ever-so-warped 1964 Sear's Best particleboard billiard table). New to the festivities this year are a 1968 Gottlieb Fun Park pinball machine (for the old-school pinball players) and the soon-to-hopefully-be-completed MAME video arcade machine (5000+ video games from Space Invaders to Mortal Combat - some of which actually work and are fun!). It's always fun to welcome new folks to the annual tradition, and to see the many returning friends back at Casa des Stonge.

Please RSVP to stongemon@aol.com and let me know how many in your party are attending so I can get a rough estimate in for the food and beverages (also, please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate your needs - any recommendations from our vegan or vegetarian friends are welcome).

Once again, all are welcome - stop by, hang out and jam yet some more with the rest of the crew (this year, we'll top the 9 guitar jam from last year!)

apologies for the last-minute notice, but those who know me expect nothing less (and it has been suggested that we nickname the event 'the Procrastinators Ball'). Once again, we are glad to open our home to our OFC friends.

Even Alpep. ;)

This is a must!

If you are really polite he might give you a tour of...the vault!

Great people, wonderful time last year.

yep.

In a cruel twist of fate, the Alpep suite is at one end of the house, and the 'Alexander M. Pepiak Research Library and Restroom Facility' is at the opposite end of the house. That's what he gets for mocking the pink bathroom - one of these days that pink toilet will have a lipstick-pickup flush lever welded on and a brass plaque with his name on the door...

memo to self:

this year, try the 'tweed and tolex' camoflage jams - that urban camo don't work in the basement lol...

i'll check the strings on the 12'er for you and Fred (and where did i leave that unfinished Adamas - gotta get some Lee "press-on ep'lets" lol). hope y'all can make it back for the festivities!

Looking forward to it, stonge. With Woody not there this year, maybe I'll get to spend some time with your longneck 12 string.

Ed, I'm planning on being there. Once again, I'll warn you, if, the next morning, you realize that your "unfinished" Adamas is missing, know that you'll have to come to California to find it....

Half the fun was getting there.
Last year I followed Cliff who was following Al.
We're talking crazy U-turns... tires up on the curb... mercilessly cutting off innocent Conneticutians.
The only thing missing was "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" cranked up on the CD player.

The left/right blinker thing not meant to be a request for permission... it's a fair warning of intent!!

just a quick bump to the front page...

looks like we will have a good turnout for the party - heard from quite a few folks and we always plan for a few extra (plus, the supermarket's only 1/4 mile away). the more, the merrier!

a couple of years ago at another event, Al was leading the procession of cars and upon leaving Sophia's he did a couple of circles around the light poles in the parking lot. the guy behind us followed us around every single one...

I'm coming to the tour solo this year. If transportation is available, add me to the list.

Tom... since I don't have to haul Moody and Woody this year I'll have plenty of room.

I'm solo and only occupy about 1/3 the space Moody would have.
