Hey guys,

I just wanted to post pictures of my sweet, but stark, black 1778T. I personally love the looks.

Unfortunately, the pictures aren't "well" taken and I havent even played my guitar yet. It is sitting at home, waiting for me to get back next Wednesday. However, I just could not wait in getting pictures of my beauty=)

I know most of you must be thinking..."yo, wth, that guitar is worth like $700 or less"=/, but it's my joy and pride for now as I begin my Ovation journey. It's kind of weird because I can't even testify to the sound of it yet,...but man, I have a great pride in owning it. It's only my second guitar, and the only one that has an actual price tag. So hope you enjoy, though to most of you, it isn't a 'big' sight=)

Junio - congrats - I like the way that looks. Don't downplay it - I'm sure quite a few people here started out with Celebrities and such and still enjoy them.

Forget the price tag juniodude. I have played a few of these and you will love the feel and sound. Welcome to the world of O's, and to transcribe a phrase taken from the motorcycle world:

"Play it like you stole it"

Enjoy!

JD, that is one helluva lot of guitar for the money. When you play one next to somebody who's forked out 3 times as much for a guitar not quite as good, try not to snicker at them.

You have done wonderfulness buying that guitar. Enjoy it for many years to come.....

I'm so excited to play it now...even more excited that I was before.

I will be sure to post a review and more photos once I get to lay my hands on my precious

Play it like you stole it
I will try to

I read some previous posts of people not liking the way it looks--Too plain or what not. But I love the stealth look...can't wait.

Don't worry about the perceived value. The T's are one of the best bang for the buck guitars Ovation has ever produced. Congratulations!

Wow. It looks great. My 1778t has a black bridge and a black fingerboard. It also has a op30 preamp, not an op pro... I think that's what yours is. Is yours a newer or older version than mine? It's an awesome guitar! You will not be disappointed with the sound.

Junio--
I don't own a T, but I've played a couple--red, gray, and black. They are great guitars! You are gonna have so much fun; one of these days you'll have to bring it to the tour so that we can all be formally "introduced." ;)
Best wishes,
Karen

If you ever get a chance to see the DVD of last years tour you'll see Matt Smith just play the snot out of an EliteT just like yours.

Ooo, I'm more than happy with mine, but i think black fretboard and black bridge would've looked even more stealth and hot..hmm..love the blackness

Nice JD. Kinda stark in a Punk Rock sorta way.
I say that cuz I saw a clip of some Punker with a T just like that.
Don't hafta worry about the color clashing with your wardrobe too much.

I like Black. Until they come out with something darker.

I played one just like that at the GC in Knoxville a couple of months ago. Sweet Guitar for the money.

Oh No GAS. Gotta run.

Some people like to own something valuable in the sense that it cost a lot. Fine. If you like it and got it for a fair price, then it is valuable to you. It's your guitar, so your opinion is all that matters. They are a great value. You could spend a lot more for a guitar that doesn't sound or play as good.

About six months ago, y'all may remember, I saw a Flame T with a $500 BIN (with case & free s/h with BIN)... I didn't get it.
And I still kick myself...

I have one also. These are fine guitars. It will not let you down and the necks are great.
If you want to make it look even more stealthy, put a set of Black Diamond Black strings on it.
Get someone to play it while you sit in front and listen, you can really hear more sound than when you are playing.
Enjoy it and don't look back.
