well it was not as long a wait as for the guitar but the carbon fiber case has arrived. unfortunately only 2 have come in. I sent one to Germany to take care of that order and the other one is here. you can arm wrestle me for it. when will the next ones be in ????????

2 weeks?????????

LOL

these cases are so cool I can't stand it. they did an excellent job on them. I was not expecting them to be branded "ovation" but that is a bonus!!

the case cover leaves a little to be desired but at least it is something.

They are expensive but what things of quality are cheap?

enjoy!!!!!

The OFC guitar is a jewel and it deserves such a beautiful case.

It's no wonder the prices have gone up (see previous discussions on carbon fibre), but you can add to that Boeing making it's new jet out of carbon fiber composite. Those things are huge. We're gonna have to plant more carbon fibre trees.

Outstanding! Even more beautiful than expected. We'll leave it to you, Al, as to who gets this one as opposed to waiting for the next delivery.

These cases are beautiful! I'm a carbon man - carbon in the car, bike, wheels - that is just what I was always wanted!
Great, Al! Thanks for that!

Thanks, Al. I'll wait while others get theirs. I suspect that the case won't get used much by me, but I'll love showing it off. Too bad I don't have any carbon fibre in the Boxster to match.

Al,

When my U681-12 is finished, have them send it back to me wrapped in a carbon fiber case! The original case had to be replaced anyway.

If it is not too much trouble, a carbon fiber wrapper in BROWN would be really nice for KOA 12/12 when it's done.

thanks

Bruce, I bet when you go to the zoo you tease the animals. Wait till I get my case before you give Al a hard time.

Nice looking case. Is it light weight?
I just got my 17" Collings and it came in a Calton and while those are great cases they are so f#cking heavy that for what I need it for it's unusable.
Maybe I missed the first part but are these for sale? or part of the pkg?

That case is AWESOME!!!!! I'll bet there is a significant weight savings.

Like all the posts about really great guitars that are showcased through this site, this post sucks too! (Only because I know I'll never own one of these either!) :)

Al, kudos for your work in matching an appropriate case with its' intended occupent.

Outstanding looking case, Al. I've bought cars for less than that, though. Well, OK, not since I was 16, but... :p

PS - I'm sending you a PM with a snide remark which I hope you will find humorous. ;)

None of my guitars cost that much!
But it is a nifty case...

Wonder if you can put a set of tuners on the skinny end and a bridge on the fat end and set of strings and play it??

Sort of like the cello-sized guitar-type version of a Pignose amp, eh? Punch some sound holes, then play it standing up, propping the cover open wherever it sounds best. I like it. We'll call it...the Alpepaphone!

Actually, knowing the weight savings over a normal case would be good.

Mark, I am not giving Al a hard time and I would never tease animals at the zoo or in the wild... I never have and I never will.
