On Thursday if anyone would be interested in golfing, I'd definately be up for it. Last year it looked like some mighty fine courses around there. I'm no pro, my golfing is about like my guitar playing, but it would be fun. The first annual OFC Golf Outing! Anyway, I just wanted to mention it now because folks are probably starting to make travel reservations. Dave

Make sure before you go that you have your wives or girlfreinds or (boyfreinds) kiss your balls the night before you leave for good luck and to help your putter shaft stay rigid. Hope all who do golf do well.GWB

It uses the most land for the entertainment of the fewest people." Pretty good for a game that started-out with poor folks, a stick, and alot of open spaces and free time. I like the windmill. Enjoy!

I think I broke 90 at Griffith Park one time which was the best I ever did. My brother is about a five handicap and makes me look silly. Then again, I own him in the downhill.

For years, I had despised the game as a stuffy, eliteist, waste of time reserved for our SalesDept. “outings” while the rest of us had to work. I had somewhat softened my view of the game with the advent of films like “Dead, Solid, Perfect”, “Tin Cup”, and “Bagger Vance” . . . I’ve played TWICE in my life (once about ten years ago, once about a month ago). Nine holes both times, and both times I started t’get the “hang” of it on the last hole . . . (the last go-round, it was discovered that I do better with a 6-Iron than I do with a Driver – a recent trip to the driving range confirmed that) I CAN attest that the few times that I hit a really nice shot made me realize ". . THIS is what the "buzz" of this game is!! . ." Felt good! I’ve never taken an official “lesson” and I don’t own any clubs . . . (I take that back – I own one 9-Iron – it was left in our townhouse by the previous owner, and I use it to fire ping-pong balls across the living room that our cat catches in mid-air). I’d be REAL interested in participating, but I don’t wanna be a hindrance/burden to anyone. If it turns out an extra person’s needed t’round out the numbers, I’m willing. My friend Cheryl lives not too far from there, and she can loan me a set o’clubs, and having a “goal” like this gives me the excuse to go to the driving range . . . . (Worse comes to worse . . . I can take pictures . . .)
