That's more like frailing in open tunings, not fingerpicking. Nice guitar though.

It's a borderline frailing piece called "Coging's Glory" done in DADGAD off his "Guitar for Mortals" cd. He plays the song using the backside of the nail on the index and middle fingers, it's a pretty fun piece to play.

He is an AMAZING fingerstyly guitarist, won fingerstyle guitarist of the year many times.

Gee.....can you tell I'm a fan?

So what's the deal with the headstock on that guitar? Is it something special Adrian does for getting his sound? And, is that a maple neck/headstock or it just really light?

It's just the lighting, and yes he does use the Bill Keith banjo tuners, I just bought a set about 4 months ago, they are very nice. Trying to learn new guitar tab that Adrian wrote for the Keith pegs gives me a headache.

It is a maple neck.
The white on the top is baby powder from his hands.

You know some lemon oil will help with that Cliff. As I played Adrian's guitar looking at the fretboard I wanted to dive into my guitar case, grab a cloth, run away and clean that sucker. Maybe he's just tired of cleaning it, I never did ask him that.

Why get it off?
He used the long neck Cliff has on one of his tours, it's part of the history of the guitar. As Cliff uses it over time it may wear away and so it goes, but why rush things?
