Next they'll say there's no such word as fishing, it's "go fish".
Well, there is that term also, but, that's a different activity.
Or they'll say it not fishing it's catching. But only when you actually land a fish.
Otherwise you are fishing.
So there.

I went golfing with my brothers in March this year. They're both keen golfers and I'm not.

I renamed the game that I played that day to flog, which is golf backwards, coz thats how I played it, dead horse and all.

By the way, I flogged both of my brothers. My score was 3 times bigger than theirs.

Golf, like tennis, has always been a proper sport with rules and etiquette. It should be referred to in a proper way. Even when it's played in shorts and a tee shirt, it's still very proper and polite.

I stopped playing golf about 4 years ago for 3 reasons. 1.)It took more time then I had to give (hey, I'm self employed with a wife, 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a mortgage I can't afford), 2.) too much money (it can be rediculously expensive out here and that's money that could go into guitars), and 3.) I had at that time renamed golf myself, calling it "f*cking golf".

It was time to stop playing golf (or, as you guys insist, go golfing).

Maybe that's it. I was trying too hard to play golf. If I had just thought to myself that I'm going golfing, I would have been much more relaxed about it.....

"By the way, I flogged both of my brothers. My score was 3 times bigger than theirs."

And, what a deal...your cost per stroke was 1/3 their cost.

Well everyone it is clear to see that many of you would like to have golfing as a new word. So with the power invested in by the State of confusion I hereby declare GOLFING a word.

Muzza--thank you for your post; that's the best laugh I've had all day. If I were to ever play real golf, I guess it would be the same the way I play miniature--why, I'd leave a whole herd of dead horses in my wake. The greenskeepers would be really happy to see me go. :D ;) :D

"Guitaring" I believe we should not rush into anything this will take much thought it may take months or even years to come to grips with idea of "Guitaring". So with all that said lets lay this puppy to rest.
