His name is Vern Bryant and he was recommended to me as a good Resophonic guitar man. Turns out, he was a regular with Bill Monroe and played with many of the NC/VA/TN bluegrass legends. He still gigs regularly (fiddle player). He was also a Martin guitar repairman going way-way back as well builder of Guitars, fiddles and mandolins. And he a a truly remarkable 1938- D28 replica which he made that sounded like no other guitar I have ever heard. Really amazing. After he finished with the rez, we sat and plucked a couple of tunes. I got to hear him play that stellar guitar and sing like a bird and as much as anything else... I was absolutely captivated by the tangible connection with history I was experiencing. I might well take a guitar building class from him this fall/winter. $1500.00 seems like peanuts to experience that more often AND walk away with a guitar I built... Great day.

Do you know if there's any discs out there that he's on?? --Karen

Just wear the leather apron and run through the fields..... Forget all the political BS until that bitch-on-a-broom from New Yawk gets elected. Then we'll all have to drive manure spreaders. OK Miles, get the hoses out.
