Seems like a capo should be illegal on a #47. One more reason I don't deserve one.

i see that musician's friend has at least one #47 in stock at $3499 and there has been one review posted on it. coincidentally, that review was written by this guy playing in the vid, larry.

MAn Lanaki! ... I was hoping nobody would notice the one in stock at Musician's Friend! I figured I could wait till I had some extra cash and snag one for myself someday.

I liked the way he finished the song by giving us all the finger. Probably because he's got a #47 and we don't. Ouch.

Sounds very nice. And like many of us, the guitar sounds better than the vocals.

Does anyone have the tab for that the way he's playing it? I've tried the regular sites but can't find it written like that (and I'm apparently not versed enough to see how he's doing it) - and I think it's as good a version as I've ever heard.

Great tune.

Y'can try here, but I dunno how accurate it(they) might be: Nick Drake on Chordie

Keep in mind that Drake used some odd tunings as well . . .

Tried chordie but couldn't tie that to how Lud was playing it. I thought it might be a tuning "issue". Might just take that on as a challenge tho'.

Take note.... He's capos up two frets... plays way up the fingerboard, and that #47 still sounds like its playing cowboy chords.

It almost sounds like some Joni Mitchell tunnings, especially when he first drops down from the bar chords.

The guy looks a lot like Richard Dryfus.

If anyone is still interested, after playing around a litle bit and watching Lud's vid, this one seems to come pretty close. Very easy to play but the tuning is a real pita.
