From Yahoo News....
OK, moving on to happier stories, such as...dancing days are here again, because the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin are finally getting back together! Yep, hard rock fans still dazed and confused by recent news of the long-delayed Van Halen reunion have even more reason to celebrate, now that this even longer-delayed reunion is reportedly in the works. Incredibly, according to NME.com, frontman Robert Plant is in talks this week with fellow Led Zep legends Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones about a Zeppelin tour that'll hopefully kick off in London this November. Presumably late drummer John Bonham's son, Jason Bonham

From personal experience, Bonham Jr is living proof that musical talent is not genetic.

They oughtta just call up Carmine Appice and be done with it.

After hearing bootlegs of tours 73 through 80, I'm fairly certain that I'll be missing this current tour with flying colors!

I was waiting by the phone for "the call", but it never came. I guess they heard I sold my drums....

Yes, and we all know that the top tickets will be $250 apiece, and that there will be people tripping over themselves to be relieved of their money to get them.....

Zep was great....but who cares? They likely won't have much, if any, new material, and no one wants to hear that anyway. It's a way-overpriced oldies act, IMHO.

What ever happen to ticket for $6.50, $7.50 and $8.50 for Orchestra?

You wanna relive the Old Days, do it right!

". . They ended when the Beatles stopped touring . ."

F(*^ing ticket prices don't bother me.

It's the damn POS convenience charges and bullshit that irks the hell out of me.

Just bought 2 tickets for $25 each....then an 8.50 convenience charge for each....a $3.50 processing fee each and a $2.50 delivery charge (which consisted of an email telling me to print my own freakin ticket).

BULLSHIT! $26.50 in "ticketmaster charges".

Talk about a fucking monopoly that should be forced out of business!

....and the state government in Michigan wants to add on another $3 or so per ticket of tax for their coffers as well.

Both.

Even the Beatles were puzzled as to why people paid to hear them, then made so much noise they couldn't.

I can't imagine why the Zeps would want to reunite and go on tour. Are they hard up on cash? Robert Plant has repeatedly said that there can be no reunion without John Bonham, and that Jason isn't good enough to fill his father's shoes.

I wonder how many musicians will be on stage, helping them play their songs? I assume Plant will need some female backup singers to help fill out the high parts.

I thought this came to an end with the Page/Plant tour about 10 years ago.

I like Led Zep fine. I just am greedy and want to remember them as they were, not as they are.

Plant opened for The Who a couple years back.
The years have been much kinder to Roger than Robert. And Roger is not what he used to be either.

So Bohnam Jr has no talent? He should be on a par with Page then.
Gibson probably wants them on the road to promote the Jimmy-I-can't-really-play-nothing-but-clams-Page Les Paul model. Now THAT'S marketing.

I recently heard someone say that Plant looks like someone who's in the middle of a sex-change operation . . . and ran out of money.

I saw a concert of Plant's last Tour on PBS. It wasn't bad at all. The new tunes were more geared to his voice, and he didn't pull out any Zep stuff. His last album wasn't at all bad.

I saw Zeppelin 3-4 times. Not the greatest live band, in the least. Much like the Who, I thought they were just "sloppy" (especially Page).
Bonham was just phenomenal!

I saw the Page/Plant Tour, and it was much better than I had anticipated. The Eastern & Western string sections added a very exotic "air" to it, and the guitarist from the Cure handled most of the lead guitar duties.

If they try t'do this without ancillary musicians, they're crazy.

Plant closed his set with 3 or 4 Zep tunes when I saw him.

I just saw Foreigner last night with a few other bands. Jason Bohnam was on drums.

While he seemed technically proficient, the music had no soul and basically the band sucked. Only original member was the guitarist.

They did tie in a bit of Zep in the middle of JukeBox Heroes and it was the only time I though Bohnam actually sounded good and inspired.....but playing a 2 minute piece versus a whole night??? Can't see it happening.
