Patch all done??

Hey nerdydave, I think Patch announced his retirement from OFC Calendar production last year. Know what you mean about missing the calendar, Bernie! I still have all my previous years calendars and lust over all of your Os!

Yes, I've retired and will miss it as well. It's gotten to the point where I have to pick up so much extra work anymore, that I truly just ran out of time for a project this size. And it doesn't help that I have a conscience that can't live with just throwing something together. Every member here deserves better than that.

Even if I had planned on doing the calendars this year, having Covid force all of my courses online (Teaching is my part-time gig.) would have killed any aspirations I had anyway. You wouldn't believe how much additional work is required to convert all of my in-class materials and build modules to any reasonable standard! And it's not like I had loads of warning or support from the colleges to do it.

Still, I wish I could keep the calendar project going. It was something I quite enjoyed. Hopefully someone in the future can pick up the torch though. If they do, I'll be on the buyers' list for certain.

In the meantime, I hope you are all staying safe and healthy!

What a crazy year!

I had offered to pick up the calendar duties from Patch, but then, like him, life got in the way.

I am still willing to take up the yoke, but it's not going to happen for this year's calendar.

From all I heard, Patch did a great job with the calendars. But when Brad passed away, I just kinda felt like the time of calendars (that I was a part of) had come and gone. Still feel that way.....

Yay Dan! Coming from your shop it's bound to be a great product, and a worthy torch passing from Patch's awesome work.
(but I bet you still cringed a little when you hit the submit button on that one)

I miss them as well. Was just clearing a shelf in the spare room last week and came across a stack of them from 2006-2014.

So there will be a next year? I heard it was canceled since this one was never really used.

So I may regret this....I may be able to pull this off...maybe not in time for Christmas - but close....it may be a one year commitment.... to keep the fire burning....in the mean time go ahead and say how many you would want - and the country they would be shipped to - and the top price you would want to pay turnkey each with shipping....I don't plan to make a dime, but I am not in a position to lose a crap ton of money either....touring pit orchestra gigs are few and far between....good thing I have a real job.

I'm in, but I can only take one. $35 is fine with me too.

Good on ya to pick up the ball.

Looking forward to it!

Heck, Mark, I'll pay $35 just out of curiosity to see what you can come up with on such short notice. Chalk me up for 1.

Sorry, now I've made my own ones, the printer is just running on the last (3rd) one. But I'm in for next year with 3 ones....

I think I set up a Google drop box last time. It got the job done, but there might be better ones out there.
