aloha andrea,

i've never played one but from all the reports i have seen on this forum, it is one of the "most- bang-for-the bucks" guitars out there.

I played several at the Guitar Center.
As Randy said;

Get it in Black not the Lusty Red.

Ditto. Played a few on various occasions and very impressed with what you get for the money. I don't care for the looks, but that's just personal preference. Dave

This one's a "go-er"!!!
It's got a skinny neck, and "look" is a love/hate thing, but the sound-per-dollar ratio is fantastic! I even played a shallow-bowl one that sounded very nice. I posted the other day that I had recently played one side-by-side with one of the new Ultra's, and the T blew it away, sound-wise . . .

Andrea,
Here's Stonebobbo rockin' with my Elite 1778T Red Flame. It was a big hit at the 2007 OFC tour.

Andrea,
I have a black 1778T and love it.
Neck is more like an electric. Unplugged sound is good and also loud it you want it to be.
Plugged in it is very versatile. The only complaint I have is the volume slider is way too sensitive, give me a good old fashioned knob to turn. (mine has the opp 30) later models may have a knob.
By the way, I put some "Red Devils" on it and they look pretty sharp with the black guitar.

I've got one and love it also. Agree with all the above comments. Mine has the black 'pebble' finish. Rarely goes out of tune and the neck is very playable.

Most people that see it (and play it) say "Great guitar, I've never seen one like this before".

Absolutely my favorite acoustic guitar...well, it's my only acoustic guitar, but still...

Phil's at the tour was the cat's meow. The full bowl paint was spectacular. In fact, Phil, when you decide to let that baby go, send me a PM.

During the last tour I realized that this guitar is probably a keeper. Since I don't think I will ever own a 47 Reissue this will have to be my poor mans version of #47. If I was to ever let this one go I have to give first dibs to Stonebobbo. He asked me right after he finished his set at the hotel jam. Brad you will be the next in line.

I have a black elite t and it is amazing. It's a great value. Very good price for an american made, high quality guitar.

I've never seen the pewter or lusty red ones in person, but the black is awesome. The guy who did a repair on mine recently called it the stealth bomber of acoustic guitars.

I still got dibs. Thanks, Phil  Although since Phil's seems to be a pipe dream at this stage, I may take a run at one of the raindrop blue ones that someone posted about here recently. The one I saw at the factory was tres cool. I think the 1778Ts are great, but then again I also like some strange flavors of ice cream.

Be sure your carpet won't clash with the guitar.

47 refers to the Adamas #47 re-issue.

The basics (sans flame) are great guitars for the money. They don't clash with much, looking okay even with the occasional mauve.
