This pain bothers me much more now than two weeks ago, and i don't know what to do. after yesterday practice i had big pain also in right hand, and today morning i couldn't write anything because my right hand was shaking. did anyone experience something like this? i feel some pain all day, and it's getting worse after few minutes of playing on electric, or on acoustic - fingerstyle. When i strum and use basic chords only, nothing happens, but anything harder makes me feel that pain. it starts in my wrist and while i play, it goes all the way to fingers. i've forgot to add. Pain in right hand appeared only one time and now i feel ok.

Well I was going to say that I wouldn't touch that line with a ten foot pole; but that may be insensitive...and its not politically correct either...but since when has anyone here been politically correct? Or sensitive for that matter? 23, not married, pain in hands/wrists/arms? Hmmmmm...sounds like self abuse to me...you could go blind! (lol, naw...) (BTW, like the new name...but it sounds framiliar...)  ;)

They have pretty good vodka in poland, so drink up! Na zdrowie! (I say this in honor of polish american month)

If you spend much time on the computer or doing other repetitive tasks, like guitar playing, you could have carpal tunnel or a similar condition involving the elbow. They make wrist braces which are available here in the states pretty cheaply and in the grocery store or pharmacy. They are probably easily available in where you live, too. Wearing a wrist brace, especially while sleeping and using the computer, can help a lot.

I had corrective surgery on the right hand about two years ago, and it looks like the left is going under the knife pretty soon also. The surgery aint all that bad, but recovery time with no guitar playing sucks. I guess I could teach myself how to play using my feet, like the armless guitar player dude.

Joined: March 2007 Posts: 665 Location: Tychy, Poland | hm. i work on computer 8-10 hours a day + 2-4 hours of guitar playing. i will read more about this syndrome. the biggest problem for me is that most of my playing on electric guitar was based on speed of my left hand, and now i have problems with coordination, and i can't keep up the tempo with band. shit happens.
