It's a beautiful instrument and another example of the talent of the guys in New Hartford. Maybe some people will not like the design (ala Marcel Dadi) but the final result is exactly what Remy was looking for. I'm sure that Rémy will be glad to tell us more about this guitar. Enjoy the pics. J :)

I'm really glad to share with the OFC family that moving dreming plan becoming now this so beautiful Adamas. Hi dreamed about this guitar for several years, I met Marcel in 1989 and played one time with him in Paris in 1991 (an other time in a castle in 1991 and that’s were we made the deal with is early Adamas I bought)... I was expecting for an acoustic and sober Adamas and decided to do make this UT by the factory one year ago, when I played guitar for a tribute to the legend (and met also my friend Jerome there) ! It's really a great and good job they made : it's the best wide neck 1 7/8 I ever played. The acoustic sound is stunning : clear, strong, well balanced… and musical. The finish is perfect : I really love this guitar. Many details have been discussed with the factory : color (Pantone 134 C : they sent me graphit table samples !), epaulets, suspended top (none on standard UT), neck carve, width and thickness, neck angle, action, beveled fingerboard, frets semi-jumbo (I just asked for it)… Darren Wallace and Mark Lammana (and the others) really try to make the best guitar for each guitar they have to realise at the custom shop. To my idea it was not a real custom shop but this guitar (and others like OFC or Custom UT) shows that they are really able to make with you your dream guitar. So : dream and make it ! Thanks to my friends Jerome and Tom for their help, ideas and support !!! Best regards from Fance ! Remy

To those in France, it screams "Marcel"! I love every other choice made on the guitar and am pleased for Remy. If I told you guys what I'm thinking of special ordering, you'd probably think I was nuts. I mean, more than usual......

You guys are probably objectively right, aesthetically and acoustically... and the subjective difference is certainly in my heart : I LOVE IT !!! However, it's really a wonderdul Adamas they made at the factory and I'm glad to share this plan with you. You're right Paul in France it screams "Marcel" and as said Karl it as just to be there !

Besides, the treble epaulets look much better when the guitar is horizontal and being played. Heck, all guitars look better when they're being played.

Can they do a burst between two specified colors as well? The Adamas custom shop website is very sparse on details regarding "non-standard" finishes. I want to know what they can and can't do, since I pretty much never see any unique Adamas finishes...

I'm always so proud when he comes at home and takes one of my guitar. He should visit me pretty soon and I hope that we will be able to record a tune on his "Dadi's Custom" Adamas to hear the sound of this guitar. For those who want to hear what he's able to do with a guitar in hands, please CLICK HERE!! I must say that this tune was recorded after some beers (maybe too many beers... :D ) Even if some of you don't like the lower epaulet, let me tell you that the arrival of this guitar is a great event for the very small community of O's fans in France and I really hope to have the rare privilege to play it next weekend!!!
