Joined: December 2014 Posts: 1713 Location: Frozen Tundra of Minnesota | Thank You to everyone for their help! I found the one that *Spoke* to me, and couldn't be more thrilled!! A Member of the Facebook "The Ovation Instruments Collectors Board" Page decided to pass on this one, and posted it for anyone else to go after, and I knew the minute I saw it, that it was not an Adamas or Custom Legend that I was supposed to get, it was this one!! It is funny how you just *know* when it is the *Right* one! Please help me Welcome to the Nan-Cave my very first 12 String, a Golden Oldie! And signed by the Man Himself!!! 1968 Glen Campbell 12 String, Shiny Back, Mint Condition that will be on it's way home on Monday (PLEASE say a prayer that the Crack Curse misses this one???) Many Thanks to Dave Witko, Jay Kantor, Dan Gallo and Paul Templeman for sharing their experiences with this Guitar, I trust their judgements implicitly, and it helped make my decision quite easy! And Thank You 2 Wheeldrummer for the help on tuning, and help! Having this one as your first, is rather intimidating! It's hopeless. So now on to more important news... congratulations on an absolutely awesome find!! That is SO nice!! I wasn't aware you didn't have any 12ers in the cave. You'll love it when the epiphany strikes that at any given moment you can just pick it up and make 12 string candy. And the history--- chokes me right up. Anything Campbell is family. Great call on this one... and congrats again!!

And I have light hands, so it certainly won't be mistreated! I read that the smaller hole produces a more harpsichord-ical effect, which is like the Millennium, and I absolutely LOVE the sound she makes, so this should be twice as Beautiful (if that is possible!). Thank You again, I am just SO EXCITED!!!!

Last I hear you're trying to be responsible with your purse strings---then this. Let's just face it. It's hopeless. I totally blame these guys (or Thank as it is), they share knowledge and expertise, and answer all questions, so I soak it all up, then when I see something that I know is Special, I Pounce! And as much as I listen to them, I never listen to myself, so if I tell myself **No More!!** - I conveniently forget it too. I have told myself NO MORE ANIMALS too, that the ARK IS FULL!! We will see how long that lasts... (longer than the No More Guitars I hope...)

What a beautiful instrument and a history to boot. It would be nice to know, who actually owned this prior to the music store...so that maybe you can nail down its' roots. Certainly a calendar guitar!

The Guitar was in that store on Consignment, so I asked the Owner to forward my contact information onto the Guitar Owner as I would Love to know it's history, when he got it, did Glen sign it for him, anything he would care to share about it. I am still hoping that he will contact me.
