It doesn't roll off the tongue like San Francisco, but what a great place full of great people. I arrived in town late Saturday and spent the day Sunday driving around the region, taking in the sights, and of course stopped by to get a sneak peak inb he windows of he new factory.

The local folks were awesome too. I think they already know me a tad too well at the local watering hole Chatterly's (I showed up Monday and they knew my name and drink... I may have gone a bit overboard the night before).

Speaking of the day before, it was great hanging out at The Parrot. We forced them to put the Raider game up, and what a game it was. A great way for 2 Raider fans to meet for the first time. We killed the Chargers, such a sweet sight.

Most everyone's talked about the event. It was great, so was the tour, but the people... yep... the people stole the show. All the boys building and fixing our precious O's are good folk. So are the folks at the Parrot, Chatterly's, and all the other folks in attendance.

Times are good. I'm excited about Ovation Part Deux. The instruments look pretty cool too.

Some driving around...

"Downtown" New Hartford

The Mothership...

I stuck my camera in the window on Sunday...

A shame seeing them not in the main building, but it's still part of the complex...

Bill's speach was iconic. I don't remember it exactly, something like... "I had a dream this afternoon... that the brotherhood of Ovation would become a reality...." Or something to that effect

It must've been the event to be at if the politicians were there during election times. Congrats on the citation guys!

And more stuff...

I dig on these eppies!

I don't know if anyone mentioned, but aside from the gold leaf, the binding has metal in it too...

They carved a neck for us....

Thanks for all of these Damon. Please load some good shots of the day to the calendar site.

And I'm still trying to find an affordable way to get into the Steelers/Raiders game a week from Sunday.

Thanks, Damon. Those pics might even entice SWMBO to want to pay a visit. The Fall colors in New England are the best.
As far as the guitars, several of them have my interest, although I doubt I could afford even one. I like the one they gave Cronin, but then saw something similar with a 12 fret neck and a slothead. The swoosh sound hole isn't a real draw for me, but the way they did the binding around it and the red woven top is very appealing. Artists are really showing off their work and the artistry is very much appreciated.

Damon, is that a brushed aluminum bridge? Or just a trick of the light?

That 12er is basically a Folklore deluxe

+1 VERY Cool!

All of the pictures are "Red Blanket Photography's" usual Incredible Standards!! I love the Fall Colors!! Just wished they lasted longer!

The Guitars are Amazing!! I can see in your photo's, how the wood is merged with the metal on the sound holes and teardrops, and then again with the Phoenix, they are very symbolic of Old World Craftsmanship and New Age Artistry! Very Impressive!!! And Beautiful!!!

Thank You so much for the Fantastic Photos Damon! Glad that you had such a Great Time!

dunno... I wandered off the beaten path when I took that picture.

As for the photos, thanks. They're not really red blanket quality though. I didn't have lights or anything to bounce flash off of, so... they're the best I could do with the environment we were in. I haven't ever used this camera for concert shots either. Most didn't come out. I shoulda had my concert cam with me for that.

They may not be red blanket quality Damon, but they are a great documentation of the event and the guitars - and highly GAS inducing! THANKS for posting these!

Some big questions were answered at the event, but the photos offer a bunch of tantalizing mysteries and hints of good things to come!

Yeah the pictures are wonderful. I really can't thank everyone enough for sharing the incredible experience through all these great photos, info and comments.

It's amazing all of the great instruments that were shown! For the first time in a long time, the future is looking bright for Ovation.

Damon, I'd say you captured the elegance of the new guitar in 3 great shots, nicely done. I really like the middle shot (sound hole rosette, top and neck binding). The fit and finish appears to be flawless. Thanks for sharing. . TJR

Mark...look for a 12 fretter...deep bowl...slotted headstock...straight line out...ala a FD 14....probably 1 3/4....I am guessing they will do 50 of them....Darren was really excited about that potential variation.

The EA Viper-like black model is speaking to me. Thanks again, Damon, for sharing your talent with us. Any idea when the specs and pricing for all these models will be released?
