I do know an obscene amount of drugs were involved, and I'm sure everyone was on them. Not to mention the abuse of booze and whatever else was going on. I also know the liberties hollywood takes with these types of movies. Tina Turner is an absolute icon, a diva of divas, but she'd be nothing without Ike. I'm not condoning his behavior, just questioning the accuracy of the public's perception. I'm sure she's no angelic icon by any stretch, and she never wrote anything of note. Ike's bed's been made, deserved or not. But he never got even close to his due for his musical contributions, and that's a shame. We honor James Brown, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Hooker, the various Kings, Howlin' Wolf, etc., and we step right over this guy. I don't get it. RIP Ike, and thanks. You were truly a Motherf*%#er!

After she left him - she gave up everything except the last name. She was a much bigger star after she got away from him. Awwww - just to mention one song I remember that she wrote - Nutbush City limits - but that was a pretty crappy song, huh? RIP IKE? - how about Rot in Peace - pardon me Lord.

It's a shame when anyone's life turns out like that. No one should ever treat another human being like he treated his wife.

In fact, as I recall, at one of these hall of fame induction ceremonies, some emminence like Keith Richards told him to play it otherwise people will think Tina Turner wrote it. So there you go.

Sooo, believe Tina, who had witnesses to the insanity or a heroin user. That is not a hard descision for me.

One man I dated in college hit me - he was 6'3" and I was 5'6". He didn't like what I said to him - next thing I knew, he landed a right fist to my eye. With my father's words ringing in my ears, as Mr. Wonderful walked away with a satisfied look on his face, I picked up a lamp and let's just say - twenty stitches later to the back of his head - he never bothered me again. So pardon me if men abusing women pisses me off  And that goes for women abusing men also.
