Perhaps someday you'll try and explain New Jersey to us Al.

Here is another view down memory lane.. it took a time machine to dig this stuff up.

http://www.ovationfanclub.com/ooo/enter.htm

I find the "Research & Development" and "Rumor Mill" sections.

Boy, does that bring back memories. I remember the Ovation "Portal", where you had to answer a question about the 97 Collectors to get in. I was excited about it, then it didn't do anything, and finally, it disappeared. And there was nothing until the OFC showed up. Hard to believe it's been 6 years....

It never rains in California, Paul. Over 6000 members now. I printed something off an earlier Ovation fan club site in the 90s, before it died.

Gee, I'm sorry Paul. I never thought of you as the "sad and lonely man" type. Now I'm afraid I shall never see you the same again....Less Magnum P.I. more "Monk" perhaps?

BTW: Happy New Year Everyone! It's an honour to be tolerated by all of you. Some more than others, I'm sure. ;)

This site started in 2002? Wow. This one and the new Tak sites are the only on-line forums I ever visit. Thanks, Al and Miles, for your vision. I still consider myself a newbie and just a part-time contributor. I write all day long so these forums prodvide an opportunity to take a break and read stuff for fun. In addition, some of the members are not only knowledgeable and caring, there are also some seriously funny and clever contributors as well. Some of you could easily take the place of the writers on strike in Hollywood.

Hey, I just noticed that Al's cap key worked way back then. He must have worn it out by using it at the beginning of all those sentences.

As you see I am a new comer here.
I'm a long time Ovation lover but I've had the chance to join this forum only mid of this year and I have to say I've lerned a lot from you guys.... a lot of Os history, technics and ..... humor.
Going through the forum has become a daily "must" for me.
Thanks
Have a peaceful 2008 !!

Oddly enough, I've heard that term aLOT in my life (in numerous circumstances).

I think the biggest thing that I've come away with is the number (and level) of true FRIENDS that I've made here . . that in itself, is priceless.

Yeh, . . . we're often known t'get "off-track" . .
But if we adhered to strict guidelines, and the "straight & narrow", we'd be just like any of the OTHER snooze-fest guitar-forums out there that we find THIS place so "different" from (and keeps bringing us "back" to) . . .

thanks for the guardrails, al and miles. "edgy" is okay, but going "off the edge" is hazardous. i don't know why i have always leaned towards edginess...

this is indeed a great place and the most comfortable spot i have found in cyberworld. the tak forum is right up there too, but not enough of you guys have bought takamines yet. call al!

Have to say that I fell apart the first time I read that Al and I still get a chuckle every time I see it.
