Apparently there is a very real threat that bananas will soon be extinct.

Ever watch a monkey peel a banana? They start from the opposite end than we humans. They've probably been eating them longer than us.

The monkey or the banana?

Randy, I wish! Everybody I knew that would cook chittlins has died. But I will try to find a soul food restaurant that sells them and bring some to SSJamboree2 just for you.

You're just opening them at the wrong end! I LEARNED to open bananas by watching the monkeys at the Stanley Park Zoo. (as I learned so many other skills I use to this day.)

I know! I'm so dense that it never even occurred to me what I was saying, until I read Randy's response twice. Not the sharpest banana in the bunch.

When I worked at the Bronx Zoo, I actually saw the gorillas flinging their feces. They're sitting around bored looking at the zoo patrons. You can see in their eyes they're wondering what to do ... and then whamo ... a poo storm.

Pretty funny. I'm sure, if gorillas could laugh, they were. I did. (No I was not hit with gorilla feces)
