Like all guitars from New Hartford, they look great in pictures, but they look even better in person. Congratulations on a fine instrument!

I use Thomastik 11-50"plectrum" low-tension strings on all my steelstring Adamii and Ovations, they all are much better to play with them, have more "voice". A matching case would be nice,too..?

I'm always looking for an excuse to experiment with new strings. Those Thomastiks are expensive! They run about 8x what I pay for most other brands.

Joined: May 2011 Posts: 758 Location: Muenster/Germany | The Thomastik strings come from Austria. Here in Germany I pay 14,19 Euros for one AC111 6string set(~19,30 USD). A good source is www.martinsmusikkiste.de, if you order in small quantities, there will be no customs, only shipping.I play these strings for many years and I will be terribly upset if they may be discontinued one day. The only guitars that are not suitable for th´s are Martin dreads, they need more tension. The th´s are especially phantastic on 12strings!! Even if you use standard pitch you will have less than 120Kp tension with.11-50, and I detune every 12string1/2step, so the (old) guitar tops will survive much longer.(And my old hands, too...) This set has(from e1 to E6![]()
