Saw these advertised with no picture on Musicians Friend for $1299.00.. Also noticed that an EBAY music store I think in Minnisota just raised their online price on the Blue Flame Elite T from $899.00 to the same price. Cant tell without the picture, but I wonder if its the same guitar. i think the new one might have LX bracing. Scalloped or Au gratin.

Theres still no pictures out there. The ebay seller that just raised the pirce of the blue flame elite from $899.00 to @ $1299.00 is Grand Central Music. Curiously, there no where near NYC. The blue flame ones werent selling like hotcakes at $899.00, so I wish them luck.

Wow, looks like one of the Sprots illustrated swimsuit covergirls that just came out of the surf. Nice. Did anyone play this? Do the droplets help the sound?

Reminds me of the fender Splatocasters of a few years back.

Wow.. looks like something you'd find at wallmart..definite pass for me. But who am I to say, amongst all of my friends I seem to be the only one happy that 80's styles are making a comeback.

It may look a little cheesy in the pictures, but it's actually very cool in person. Somehow the paint shop managed to achieve a very 3D effect. One of those things you have to touch to believe it's not textured.

I wish they'd make a Ute in that color, sans the raindrops/measles/pimples/dimples/ etc. Although it might clash with the epaulettes.

This one doesn't do it for me. If those blisters start popping it could be a mess.

On the other hand, Phil's Elite that continues the front flames all the way around onto the back bowl certainly does.

I hope they continue the raindrops/dimples/dimples/acne on the back. Those roundback bowls are enough to contend with.

I used to have a sign business and did that effect on vinyl. The way we did it was to mist the object, leaving water droplets on the surface, then we'd spray paint the wet top at an angle and let it dry in that position. When the drops dried, the paint would lay down just like that and we'd clearcoat over it. Very easy effect to do and very cool in the end.

Actually, if it was gold color it would look like a glass of champaign full of tiny bubbles. Appologies to Don Ho.
