This FD-14 came to me from Jeff W, so many of you have already played it. It's still in near mint condition, and it still has that wonderful, warm cedar voice you remember. Only about 50 of these were ever made, so here's your opportunity to own this rare gem!
Here are the specs:
AAA grade cedar top with natural satin finish
Textured, non-cutaway deep bowl
12 frets to the body
1 3/4" nut
5-piece mahogany/maple neck with natural hand-rubbed urethane finish
Slotted headstock with ebony overlay
Gold Schaller tuners with tortoise shell buttons
Ebony fingerboard with no inlays
Ebony pinless bridge
Tru-balance pickup with direct-out preamp and preset EQ (via end pin jack)
Inlaid walnut and tortoise shell rosette and binding
9158 deluxe hard shell case in excellent condition
Modified “A” bracing
No cracks, dents, dings, scratches, burn marks, buckle rash, or repairs. I'm afraid I don't have any of the original case candy, though. Not sure what else to say about this great instrument that hasn't already been said elsewhere. It lives up to its reputation.

I bought several years ago an FD-14 from kotadawg. Beautiful guitar which I am saving for my son for his college graduation. I think mine is the non-official version which came after the first official 50 guitar. Perhaps mine is the number 52 1/2?! |

| dvd - Is the FD-14 still for sale? Did you sell it? Did Geo buy it? Or did you "come to your senses" and keep it?
I'm more that just a bit curious, as the FD-14 is probably the best sounding Ovation ever made, and that's saying a mouthful. I've always drooled about ever owning one.
