| This message is for Mr. ovation. I was told from ovation themselves to contact you in order to possible get bridge adjustment screws for my father's late 70's early 80's Ovation Viper electric guitar. Location: NW Washington State | When you say "bridge adjustment screws", do you mean the screws that adjust the saddles for each string, or the two larger studs that the bridge rests on? Do you have a brass bridge with a black plastic cover, or one of the chrome ones?
Not sure if I have any spares but this might help Mr. Ovation or others figure out what you need. Post a picture if you can.

So it is the one piece metal bridge, in Chrome and you need the srews that hold the individual saddles in place?
Do you have the springs and saddles as well? |

Like all of the "Hard Body" line, if you get a good one, they are great.
I truly think they were a bit of a fluke. I think it was the combination of exactly the material they used at that time. The wood in Korea, the paints and finishes of the 80's, combined with the pickups that were wound at that time, with the hardware that was used.
I don't think they started out intending to be a "high quality" instrument, but as they only made maybe 800 or so, and they did look cool too, I think the guys on the line took a little extra care. The book matching, the joints, the wiring, are all on the level of what you would find in a quality instrument today.
Finally on looks, the body design is unique, but not weird. I like it much more than what it is supposed to be a copy of. Much like the GS, they added and carved just a little here and there to make it right. And as always an under-appreciated aspect of all Ovations, the Ovation headstock looks very balanced too.
Again, I wish I had one... again... :( |

Some adapting may be necessary but not too difficult for O Solids.
In the Stewmac Guitar Repair book Dan Erlewine talks alot about post anchoring and materials. Good read! |

is that a first generation one piece brass for a 12str pd or deacon/limited? and if so do you have the studs and back screw assembly as well? is it available?
