Joined: January 2005 Posts: 4903 Location: Phoenix AZ | Anyone seen this guitar: GC SHINY BOWL Did I lend it to someone here? Did I sell it to someone here? I honestly don't know where the heck it is. I went through all my cases and it does not seem to be anywhere. I sold an old shiny bowl orange lined case to someone not long ago. I forget who. Was there a guitar in the case when you got it? I normally keep everything pretty well organized but this one seems to have totally disappeared. I sure hope it's not gone because it would be damn near impossible to replace. Do I need a P.I. ??? Dave

You sold it a couple years back...I'm thinking to MusicMishka but I don't see it in his guitar list. Of course, the fact that I'm remembering what YOU did with YOUR guitars is probably even a worse symptom on my part...

It did look malnourished but I told it I would take good care of it and never make it play Mr. Tambourine Man. It loves to be stroked and Boy does it Purrrr.

Most likely the painters who where in our house last month lifted it. But why THAT one? I'm gonna buy a Taylor and sit it right out in the open so any time somebody wants to steal a guitar they'll take that one instead. Dave ____________ Geez Dave... That's awful.

I'm guessing that if on display, they saw the Glen Campbell sig. on the headstock and figured it to be a signed guitar...hope that it can be found...sorry my friend...

Contacted the Painting Co. of course they stand by their employees and asure me that none of them would do such a thing, but they'll ask around (sure). I'll start contacting pawn shops tomorrow myself. Dave

Also making "Wanted" posters to give to all the pawnshops and post in all music shops. Fortunately with my website I've got a good photo history of it including a good photo of the label. People asked if there was any record of a serial number registration by the manufacturer (there isn't) but I gave them a screen-print of the s/n registration page from the website. Who ever thought that I would be the first to really NEED it. Insurance is no help. I've got a $1000. deductable and I have no receipt of the value of the guitar. The only record is that it sold for $449. back in 1968. PLEASE look over the photos on my site and familiarize yourself with this guitar and if you have any leads please let me know. http://www.ovationgallery.com/pageoriginalgc12.htm Dave
