Joined: December 2001 Posts: 10583 Location: NJ | well here is the info. There will not be a tour this year. I cannot rule it out forever but in the near and not so distant future it will not happen. Rick Hall has offered to have a Matt Smith clinic set up for us. I can host it here in Jersey and rent a small venue (autionhouseevents.com) and have the clinic, perhaps a guitar giveaway, and an open mic jam. The cost of the venue and soundguy will have to be covered but it is not too much (maybe $10 per person if we get enough people) the date would be june 20th that is a date that matt is free and also the auction house is free. Matt is also moving to Austin in Aug so we have to try to coordinate around that schedule. I have not yet looked into local hotels but I think I can make that happen also and maybe get a room in the hotel for Friday jamming and then sunday any stragglers can come to my house for a barbecue and jam. I know this is not a ton of lead time but if it something that you can do please drop me an e mail with June 20 in the subject line and I will decide if we can make this happen. Thanks al alpep@lostartvintageDOTcom

Sorry to miss it. We have no child care or family here so it's difficult if not impossible to get away.

I can contract with them for rooms cost is $119. this is a very nice facility and close to the venue althogh we will have to coordinate rides. (they have no shuttle service available.) to get this rate I need to confirm 10 rooms. Does this sound like something you are interested in ? ther is also the comfort Inn and the holiday Inn in runnemeade NJ on 9th ave but not as nice of facility. let me know asap so I can get things moving thanks al

It is only about 30 minute drive to the venue and hotel. Some of the members from europe may want to hope on a flight and join us. If you stick around on monday you can visit the martian factory in nazareth about a 2 hr drive

Now...the big question...which one of the herd to bring? Not so far from home, maybe everyone. (Guitars starting to bounce up and down in cases, "Take me, Mommy, take me." "You went to North Carolina AND Connecticut." "I only got to go to Connecticut..." "We never get to go anywhere..." "It's not fair; it's just not fair." "NOW...everyone better be quiet and behave yourselves...or Mommy will take...the Guild!!") ;) :D --Karen
