Joined: October 2006 Posts: 5576 Location: big island | here's the blurb from sweetwater's site about the regular elite 2078T: "This is one well-balanced guitar! Recently I had the opportunity to spend a few days evaluating Ovation's Elite T. I have to admit that I was a bit biased toward more traditional construction when I first opened the case. Once I had played a few chords, however, my opinion began to change. Ovation has really hit the mark with this model. The deep contour back is very comfortable whether you are standing or seated when playing. The solid spruce top and combined with the geometry of the back really make this guitar project. I was impressed with the timbre and the rich harmonics that seemed to generate effortlessly as I played. It did not matter whether I was flat-picking or finger-picking, either style articulated wonderfully. The capabilities the OP-Pro pre adds give a limitless range of shape and can accentuate any playing style nicely. The style cues that Ovation uses for this model are a study in minimalism. The all-black body and unadorned 11-hole rosette combined with the ebony fretboard and bridge give this guitar a distinctive appearance that will always look good. With these features and the exceptional playability that the this Ovation provides, you can expect a lifetime of enjoyment from the Elite T." Ed Needler gotta admit, i really like the koa accented epaulet though. bet i could make my own...

As oppsed to glueing the epaulet on top of the finish. It does have that 1680 Adamas look on the cheap, though http://www.music123.com/item/expandedimage.aspx?t=4&img=Ovation/479...
