Okay, we all know about Layla. What do you think are the best acoustic versions of rock songs?
(If you have links, even better)

Sorry, even if it's overheard, it's a true classic. This one's with Knopler.)

Also for fun STP doing "Pour Some Sugar On Me" as an acoustic is pretty cool.

And the Acoustic version of "In Thee" by Blue Oyster Cult.

Not off topic, but 'reverse' topic maybe? - Best rock version of an acoustic song?

'Call Me the Breeze'.

Now, the begged question:

Where can I find a GOOD tab/sheet of these songs? Especially Pride & Joy?

Thanks

Miguel

I've always liked Jose Felciano\'s Light My Fire . This was the best audio I could find.

George Harrison's acoustic demo versions (there are two) of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps". As demos, they were obviously recorded before the Beatles' released version with EC (at least one of the two demos was recorded on George's birthday) but they were first heard by the public years later. One version is on one of the Beatles Anthology sets and another is a well-circulated boot. The last verse (not on the Beatles' released version) is the best of the three in the song IMO.

The Anthology version, dressed up with strings for "Love" . I prefer the unmolested version (but "Love" is a great show you must see).

I think that "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is one of the greatest songs ever!

Thank you George!
