Location: south east Michigan | Brian came over Sunday for a good old fashion, plugged in, in the garage type practice.
We learned alot about being plugged in.
For one, the vocals sound better. On the other side, every little bit of bad guitar technique is amplified and more noticable.
But I digress... We were having a good time amped up. We tried "Won't Get Fooled Again" and I discovered a nice little sweet spot for feedback. We played around about ten minutes working it in.
Wait... lets make this interesting and inter-active.

Yes... The Fender Acoustisonic Jr. is not designed for feedback.

No idea if this is is similar to yours, but it's worth a look. I bought a couple of them.

Location: south east Michigan | Well, I wasn't going to say anything but since A.J. let the cat out of the bag....
I have temporary stewardship of a VXT that A.J. purchased from someone here in Michigan. I'll post pics later.
But first....I gotta say that this guitar has what has to be the lowest/best action I have played on any other electric. The neck is a little wider than I like... (think Les Paul).. but I could get used to that real fast.
I have not plugged it in yet. My ummm.... my speaker is broke. |

At a distance of, what, four feet, you couldn't have been running the volume much above 3, and once the feedback started, you should've been able to get to the amp and reduce the volume pretty quickly, certainly before the damage began. Having never blown a speaker before, I'm not sure how this happens. I wonder if the speaker had a prior issue? |

Picture this... to old farts (sorry Brian), in a garage, with amps and guitars, playing what else, WHO songs. Surly you can see how this got out of hand.

It was a stupid teenager type mistake.
Fortunatly, for now, I still make old man money so it shouldn't hurt too much.
Twisted... maybe if you had shown up you could have stopped us. Then again, maybe not. |
