I'm naming my guitars. The one in the front is "Patti", named after our own forum member "Patch", who sold her to me. I'm still working on names for the other seven or so ... (this is the first time I'm trying to embed a photo ... hope it works)

If the embed doesn't work, here's the link:

No

this is in the archives somewhere, Karen from Joisey started it I think.

I don't name them but some get names. Usually I just call them what they are, that way who I'm talking to knows which one I'm refering to.

Down to 8 at present and one for sale. That's a lot less than many here!

Exactly, Beal. By the way, I'm from "Joisey", too.

Willa, the link you tried to put between the img tags doesn't point to a specific picture, but rather to the entire ning page. A link to a picture would end with a filename such as photo.jpg or photo.gif.

In Firefox, right click the image and select "Copy image location"

In IE right click and select "Copy shortcut"

(Sorry Mac fanboys, I don't remember offhand the keystrokes equivalent to get a context menu)

Then paste that link between the img tags.

Nope, don't have the time. Maybe if I was like BB King and had a house burning down around me I might name the git after the girl the boys were fighting for, but other than that, naw.

As I've said before, scored high on the looks front but tonally dead compared to others and I'm not a collector but a player. There is really only room for one SSB in my arsenal and that's a Adamas 1881 (preferably with an ebony neck).

Funnily enough the only one I (irrationally) vaguely regret selling is the 03C, don't know why really cos it wasn't a patch on say the 07C (what is?). I did a side by side comparison with the 07 and the 03 just didn't stand a chance, I realised I would never pickup and play the 03 over the 07 so sold it. Life's too short. The 07 gets played EVERY day.

For all these years upon years I've never had a nick-name for a guitar.
But just a couple weeks ago I went to type Breadwinner but it came out BRADwinner.
I think that one might stick.

Don't see the need since the factory gave them a name/model/color.

I'm honored! Though considering my predilection for Irish music, not to mention my blatantly Irish moniker, perhaps I might suggest "Paddy", or if you gotta go feminine (and sometimes you do), "Paddi"?

I don't typically name my guitars, though they do tend to be either a "he or she". However, two of mine named themselves with the first strum.

My Elite 1537 "Boomer"

And my Custom Mandocello "Growler"

About posting pictures, I was putting pics up that were oversize for a long time before I tripped across a tip to re-size them to 1000 pixels wide. So I thought I'd pass that one along to ya.

BTW, speaking of pictures, you take very nice ones! Be sure to send them in for next year's OFC calendar. I find it hard to believe they would ignore that 09C, and the CL absolutely demands one's attention!
