Similar styles, but I would choose for the OFC-II guitar over the 2080 in a heartbeat.

You're welcome. I have seen that and was looking at those as well before settling on my 1680. I do like the more modern appearance of this model, no fret markers, cutaway, aluminum and wood details, etc. But the 1680 is just so loved and revered I had to give it a try first. Should you decide to do this please report back.

I like my 1681 better! (As far as looks go.)
The 2080 may be a fine sounding and playing guitar, but it is fugly. :p

(I guess I don't get the "Batman/Catwoman" motif)

I tend to think of this guitar as very "masculine;" it's very rugged looking, very spartan. It's not one that I can envision myself owning. I have played a couple, and liked them very much, but it doesn't call to me in that "I've-absolutely-got-to-have-this-one" voice.

Not something I'd be likely to buy but if I liked how it sounded and played I could live with the look of it. Most of the other Adamas guitars are far too ornate for me. That one is a bit too tech looking IMO but at least it's plain.

The "swoosh" just matches the contour of the bowl.

I guess it's easier to realize in person, but I thought it was a brilliant piece of subtle attention to detail.

technically, it's an upside down "swoosh" if comparing to nike's.

You'll need to recruit more guitar mules if you want one of them too AJ!

Love it. Any issue I have with the looks (and I rally wasn't crazy abut it at first) went out the window when I heard it. I'm even less crazy about the OFC II looks but, again, when I heard it in Jersey, I loved it. The 1680 is a completely different animal but no less a top shelf guitar.

If I had the money and if I felt I had the time to play it, the 2080 would be my next acoustic. The swoosh is neither good nor ugly, but I do like it better than eppis on that finish.

Al has had a deal out there that is the lowest price you'll see, plus it includes the iDea preamp as an extra. I don't know if the deal is still available, but if you're thinking of a 2080 you know that you have to call Al.

I wasn't a fan until I saw and heard one in person. The pictures definitely don't do them justice. Soundwise they're killer. Deep and loud with that distinct Adamas tone.

Of course the one I really fell in love with was Beal's custom longneck with the super-manly neck. That is one incredible guitar.

That's what the Nike swoosh looks like when you look at your own shoes.
