I do like the more modern appearance of this model, no fret markers, cutaway, aluminum and wood details, etc. But the 1680 is just so loved and revered I had to give it a try first. Should you decide to do this please report back. | ||

I'm even less crazy about the OFC II looks but, again, when I heard it in Jersey, I loved it. The 1680 is a completely different animal but no less a top shelf guitar. | ||

The swoosh is neither good nor ugly, but I do like it better than eppis on that finish. Al has had a deal out there that is the lowest price you'll see, plus it includes the iDea preamp as an extra. I don't know if the deal is still available, but if you're thinking of a 2080 you know that you have to call Al. | ||

Deep and loud with that distinct Adamas tone. Of course the one I really fell in love with was Beal's custom longneck with the super-manly neck. That is one incredible guitar. | ||
