Hello all! This is my first post. I just purchased a 2006 K1111 Baladeer reissue. Anyone out there own one? How do you like the guitar? I got a sweet deal and I am excited about taking my first lesson tomorrow!

Welcome Jimmie. I have one of them, and without a doubt one of the best Ovations ever made. Mine just sings. Congrats. Enjoy your lesson and just keep picking and grinning. Stay in touch with us here .. you'll learn a lot about guitars, playing them, and the good side of life.

Welcome Jimmie! We enjoy the company here of a Few N.Y'ers. Not sure where Endwell is but I'm sure it's close to one of them.

Congrats on your New Guitar and starting lessons.

Welcome Jimmie T,

WARNING!!!! You will not be able to stop at one.

BT, Endwell is near Binghamton in the southern tier.

We're getting a lot of New Yorkers lately.

Welcome Jimmie! I just purchased my first Ovation two weeks ago, but have been a member for a little while.

I'm still taking lessons myself, been doing so for over 2 years. I hope you will enjoy your lessons. Just remember that it will take time to accomplish what you want to.

I'm sure you'll enjoy your guitar and your stay here. Nice to have another New Yorker here on the board!

Thats a great guitar to start out with.

I remember back when I first took a couple lessons, the first thing the instructor would do was play my Ovation for the first ten minutes.

Good luck! It will be worth the effort.

Thanks Jim!

I'm dreamin' and schemin' now. I still want a Patriot, or a Legend or an Adamas, etc.

Love the Collector's. I can't wait to show my teacher how much my playing has improved, even since last week.

Starting off with that Ovation neck will be great because it is so comfortable to play.

Jimmie, welcome aboard from a former Endicott and Owego resident who used to wear a pocket protector at Big Blue many moons ago. I sure miss the countryside but not the clouds or city dominated politics.

You picked a winner of a first Ovation.

Welcome and congrats on your new git! As one of the best musicians and teachers I know (Matt Smith) likes to say, there's a reason they call it "playing" music. Above all, have fun!

Those are great guitars. I'm thinking about taking lessons, too. Maybe when I turn 58 I'll take my first one, too. A guy I work with is in his 60s and just started lessons. He loves it. The saying about old dogs isn't true.

JT,

Here's another welcome to the Global Ovation Family!

I really need lessons. But I just attend as many OFC jams as possible to feed my 'need'.

Now that you're on the 'slippery slope', hang around and we'll fuel your GAS and assist in spending your money...
