And, I think that as more and more production goes overseas, all our tangible USA guitars will hold their value nicely. Well, thanks, Alan. "Tangible investments" (as MM called them)! ;) Willa By the way, I DO own an overseas-made Ultra (assembled in the USA, though), and it is quite a nice guitar. So, what has your collection grown to? Do your ning pages have all your guitars? I can't tell from here, because my workplace blocks the ning site.

I also have been wanting to get my hands on an Adamas 12. I tried the Custom Legend deep bowl and Elite 12 versions, and although they played extremely well (better than any other 12 strings I have ever tried), the sound wasn't deep enough for my likin' Everyone here that has owned one has commented highly on the Adamas 12s, and I hope to someday see for myself if they are as good as everyone says they are.

Great Grab Willa!!! Congratulations! Glenn

I owned an Adamas II very similar to the one Willa snagged, and now own the 2080 NWT 12 String and each give the rich and full sound you refer to. The textured graphite tops are the key. I think it has to do with thin top that is not stiffened by a finish...it can move and breath easier. If you notice the textured top actually creaks sometimes...very strong, but also very flexible. The guitar is probably in the worst condition of any I have seen as far as being filthy and needing major work. The tuners are a combination of rust, pitting, and corrosion: btw, did I mention filth? I guess it is possible they can be salvaged...but even if they can, they will never look very nice...the case is covered in filth/stickers/and all the metal hardware is rusted: same on the guitar: the frets are wasted on the first 7 frets; the fingerboard has deep cowboy chord holes worn in the first three frets and again, all metal hardware is rusted...the p/u and the nut are a nice shade of nicotine brown and the battery was corroded badly...one area of the binding has been broken/chipped but not too badly... I know the mother ship can perform a miracle but this is more on the order of an exorcism... I'm off for a few days in the morning but I'll take pic's next week upon my return and post before and after MS pic’s later... Stay tuned...
