?????????? $4 or $5 ... hundred? Huh?? Who's running for this, and, don't you think once the guy figures out his boo boo he'll pull the listing? YIKES! I once accidently bid $5,000 on a $50 item, but of course having realized what I'd done, I retracted my bid with no problem ... Evilbay ... Evilbarf ... love/hate ...

:o

European convention for numerals is opposite of ours. Our comma is their period, and vice versa. He didn't goof.

Ralph's a member here as well - and used to be a longtime endorser for Musik Meyer and Ovation in Germany.

He did the music on the german Ovation homepage (that now is gone - with Musik Meyer no longer being the distributor for KMC) and has/had some very special guitars.

I got my Book bass from him as new as it could be.

Sure, this '47 is not a bargain overseas, but how often do you see them for sale?

Best regards,
Kurt

It is a reissue. These are some excerpts of the text (sorry, my German is very rusty):

34 prototipes (serial numbers 27-61) were handmade before the beggining of series production. Some Guitar Stars had access to these guitars, like Paul McCartney, Marcel Dadi, Nancy Wilson, Cat Stevens, Neil Diamond.

The best guitar in this preseries was Nr 47, that Charlie Kaman kept for himself.

To celebrate the 30th Jubileum of the Adamas Guitars, Ovation made in 2005/6 an exact replica of the Adamas 47, hence the model number includes 247 on it.

47 might or might not have been the best ... but it makes for good marketing spoo.

Danke. It´s been a loooong time since my German classes (15 years, maybe). And I don´t have a chance to practice, except reading something here and there.

Hi Miguel-BR,

That's OK. I've learned English 35 years ago at school. And so I hope, you all understand what I mean in my posts here. If there were great mistakes, please feel free to tell it to me.
