There would have to be towels or something in between each one to protect the guitars. The price is too high, also ... better make sure the closet rod is strong enough to accomodate the weight ... this is a really great idea, actually, except that the price is too high ... and one of those Hercules holders, or whatever they are called, the ones that grab and secure the guitar by the front of the headstock rather than just hang open on there, would be an even better design. So Stephen, are you buying some? Maybe they'd give you a discount for multiple purchases? ;) Willa

Imagine when you go to sell your unplayed guitar: "A true Closet Classic!". There would have to be towels or something in between each one to protect the guitars. Aloha shirts. We have a strict dress code here.

For me, it would be the 87 C and the CL, even tho' I'm not a huge fan of sunbursts. But they are great guitars and I am a wood top kinda guy.....

Not only are 2 guitars missing (Original 1687 and the 1538), but I put up several framed old Ovation magazine ads - one for the 87C (with Uncah Beal's sig over his boots), one introducing the 1537, and one for Adamas. Now I need to find me some neon. Hey Prof. Brad, lemme know if you come across any you already have or don't want!

It wouldn't have been necessary if I had more walls. I prefer any hanger that attaches to a mounting block via a 1/4" threaded stud and nut. This allows me to remove the block and then fabricate any form of mounting system to suit my purpose (ceiling, angles, long-arm, etc.). The Hercules are nice because of the pressure-activated gripping system, but I can usually find three or more of the Swing models for about the same cost as one Hercules. I don't need the grippers for my applications.

They're made in China and the bulbs last a few months. I'm still looking for replacement bulbs for the few that I own.
