Met Damon today (great guy for any of you who don't know him!) and we had lunch and I came home with the most amazing guitar I have ever owned. It was difficult but I almost made it all the way home before I had to pull over and play her for a while. I was thinking I would have to do that at least 2 or 3 times on the way home, but I managed to fight the urge until I drove by the wayside on the Black River... I HAD to stop there and serenade the sleepy water for a while! I finally got her home and certain friends told me posting pics immediately was not 'optional' it was mandatory. So I had to further prolong my abstinence to get some pics. (I am glad I did, btw...the light was perfect at the time outside.) So now I am giving my tiring fingers a brief respite and typing this. Many thanks to all of you who helped me along the way in my decision making process. For a novice Ovation fan, I am thinking I did rather well. But I could not have done it without your input! Thank You! :D :D :D

So now you need the Contour Bowl, and the Shallow Bowl, and the Viper (just cuz), and the Adamas, and a T, and a 12-String, and the Breadwinner (same reason), and a Shiny Bowl, and an Academy for good measure. Oh! And a VXT! :p

Here is another...I think the Japanese maples and wisteria make a nice backdrop for her... but what is that blue stuff up in the sky? Did somebody paint the bottoms of the clouds blue?

Good luck with your new love!

I tend to play with a very percussive style and the pick guards on all my other guitars are scratched all to hell.... This one HAS no pick guard and I am afraid of scratching up the face... Any suggestions? A friend of mine who is a luthier down in Portland built mostly classicals and he had some kind of a clear film like pick guard he used to put on certain instruments he knew were going to be victimized by errant picks. Are any of you familiar with anything like that? I guess I could call him, but I am already here so I will ask you.

I found this 9X12" cut-to size stuff on evilBay... You can probably make more than one with that. Plus you can easily change it once it gets all scratched-up. Just trying to be helpful, y'know? Now I am thinking that I should get some... I got that Ibanez wood-box with no PG coming... Yeah I'm gonna do that!
