I'm sorry to hear this. I know what you've been going thru. You can prepare all you can and it's still difficult. Be happy for all the good times, and maybe stronger for dealing with the last years. It's tough, but it's all good. He'd want you to smile remembering him......

Sorry to hear of your loss, my sincere condolences. Your father was one of the thousands of brave men who brought democracy to many countries in Europe and freed us from tyranny and despotism. Be sure this is also appreciated in Germany. Your father definitely made our life better. Always remember him as a hero and keep the good times in your mind.

Chris.

GWB, I am guessing that this is a time of mixed emotions for you and your family--great sadness that he is gone, and relief that the pain is finally over for him.
His generation left us a great legacy--I wish I could have met him.
My deepest condolences to you and yours,

--Karen

GWB ... My heart goes out to you, and I share your pain as I lost my dad about a year ago also. I can say that we were at least able to spend a couple of "good weeks" with him as he rallied a bit before his death. He was also a WWII vet, and was loved by many. My prayers are with you and your family as you go through the difficult days ahead. May your hearts be filled with many wonderful memories.
