I couldn't pass this one up. Figured I'd post it before someone else did as a few here know about it.
'97 512 CS Florentine cutaway, mahog back and sides, honeyburst spruce top. I have to say, it surprised me with it's tone. I guess a few get out now and then.

Shields up!! Go ahead, fire. :D

Nice-looking guitar, I know how much you like the Florentine cut. Congrats.

actually that mahogany back reminds me of a Hohner I used to keep in my car for a utility guitar. It really was a sweet playing guitar but I gave it to a friend of mine who was wanting to learn to play. He switched to keyboards...I wonder if he wants to give it back? hmmmmm..... It wasn't a cutaway though and I cannot even fathom going back to a non-cutaway now.

Good thinking TJ. With Winter on the way, you'll need something to burn if there is a blackout.

People on the Ovation forum bash Taylors because people on the Taylor forum bash Ovations. Both offer good guitars. I have played some Taylors at stores that I really liked. Likewise I have played some Ovations that I hated. Oh, who cares.

But when the time comes to sell it, you can post it on the Taylor board, complaining that it just doesn't sound as good as an Ovation.

We really shouldn't knock Taylor's...
SOMEBODY has to make an overpriced, inferior guitar!

the real bitch of all of this is that when he sells it he'll get a greater ratio of selling price to original list then he would for any Ovation. That's where the world ain't fair.
