First, you need to post pics.
This conversation is useless without pics.
Otherwise there is no way to determine the condition of the guitar.

Beal, you're too cheap. I'll go as much as $33.50 if it comes with the case.

Frigg, the best thing to do is to post a bunch of pictures.

Welcome to the Ovation Family!

Go to the FAQ and page down to the 17th Q, post some pics and your high end asking price with an 'or best offer'.

Nice model 'O'. Good luck! Tough sellers market right now...

Hey there frigg ... welcome. You can get a pile of information about the Braedwinner here: http://www.doremi.co.uk/breadwinner/. It would be a good starting point for you.

Thank you 2ifbyc and stonebobbo, I appreciate your input, as for the old man and his little buddies, I do not appreciate small minded people with big mouths sticking their fingers up their noses and flinging it, in other words, if you can't contribute intelligently then keep your mouths shut and your fingers off the key board.
Thanks again to the nice people out there.

tread lightly...as the saying goes.. or something like that... speak softly.. whatever..

they were joking.

"what's my guitar worth" is the most common question here.

welcome to the OFC frigg.. get to know us.. you'll be surprised who you are actually interacting with.

Best Regards,

Glenn

If you think this is useless information then you are from another planet. You ask for information but get insulted when someone asks for additional info that is ALWAYS required when asking what something is worth.

There are so many model variations and post Factory alterations out there that good photos are a must for sizing up the

A- Stock or not
B- Condition
C- Prototype or mass produced
D- Whether or not I've had a chance to butcher it or not?

In my signature line you'll see Paul Dowthwaite's Solidbody site as well as Jerome's, they are the Wikepedia of Ovations!

Try not to be so thin skinned, you may end up as a Moderator... :D

Oh that's just lovely. And people here get upset at Caravan and me. I do so hope Mr. frigg stays around long enough that I can have some fun. Too easy.

That's Mrs. Frigg to the usual suspect, I didn't know a simple request would be so full of worms. If you would go back to the original post "Hi, I just came into possession of a very nice white(1975-1976)Breadwinner. I would like to sell it but know nothing about guitars especially electric ones. is there any one out there that can help me with some information? P" you might notice that I requested some help as I am a novice at guitars, I did not ask about pricing, I got the first line of the old mans reply (post pics), but the next comment was not so helpful "this conversation is useless without pics." and then to be followed by the two numb nuts who offered $30.. for a guitar that is worth over $1,000.00, was insulting. As you can see I asked politely and got these three, you might wonder why I came back? well there are others out there who are helpful and by the way I am not stupid I just don't play.
And for the usual suspects---I am not sticking around for your childish pleasure, go pick on someone else.
OH! YEA! the old man has a very dirty keyboard that needs to washed with soap.

Thanks to those who in-between the fall-der-all gave me some really helpful information. I may have a buyer or two in negotiations already, not bad for two days work.
Mrs. P.

Wow Friggy, in 3 posts you have accomplished the following:

- requested info about a guitar (good start)

- informed us how you do not appreciate small minded people with big mouths sticking their fingers up their noses and flinging it (nice way to start making friends)

- instructed us that if we can't contribute intelligently then keep our mouths shut and your fingers off the key board (thank god that after 7000 members somebody finally came out and said it)

- informed arthur to go clean his keyboard (obviously an inside joke between arthur and you)

I'd say you've done well. Now don't go spending that $1000. all at once.

I think Mr Frigg is one of Caravans and/or U.S. "Nicer" mulitple personalities emerging from deep down in their twisted psycy. ;)

WHAT?!? Those with twisted psychy's can get in line for "nicer personalities"?!?

In all this time, you would think that someone would have keyed me into that little gem of knowledge. Now, where's the line start...?

Ahh, never mind. Line's too long.

My (our) psyche is just fine, thank you. So are my id, ego and supergo. We all thank you for your concern, though.

Mr. Woodward, are those individuals living under the bed in a van down by the river at the terminal end of a bad run in a land of large lizards all the while being both north and south of others within the third spiral arm of the Orion cloud of the Milky Way, therefore, not "real?" They might argue the contrary.

We are everywhere, and we are Legion!

Well, glad we got that straightened out.

Dreaming on that one too.

Good old frigg definitely missed the memo on "How to Win Friends and Influence People"

Hey frigg - if it wasn't for Beal and his family, you wouldn't have that little old guitar you think you're gonna make a killing on.

Go troll somewhere else...
