If there is anyone near there, they need to make the trip. I envy them for at least one reason. They're near Cannon Beach which has the day-um'd BEST IN THE WHOLE WORLD 'home-made' clam chowder at a small restaurant on the beach! Hopefully the eatery is still there... that was only 25 years ago...

Location: Boise, Idaho | Coos Bay and Cannon Beach are a couple hundred miles away on Highway 1, Iffy. I'm sure they have good clam chowder closer to Coos Bay. They also sell a lot of salt water taffy down there. |

I LOVE seafood and have savored much around the world. But I'm serious 'bout the Cannon Beach chowder! Your taste buds will be so happy that your tongue will slap your face silly.
Now if ya want to talk 'bout Gulf Coast cuisine, check out the NOLA food sites. Or better yet, head on down to my place for some Keys 'bug' tails and grilled snapper and...

Location: Central Massachusetts | Coos Bay is about 3 hours from anywhere, I'm afraid. Three hours from Eugene, 3 hours from Cannon Beach. And it's 5 hours from me. There used to be an active member in Eugene.
There's a place called Shore Acres State Park near Coos Bay that has the most amazing rocky shoreline.. one of my favorite places in all the world. Unfortunately, I'm not heading that way any time soon.
Mark's daughter might be your best bet.

I would recommend calling them...they are a pretty complete music store, to include a repair facility, school rental, etc. Should get good disclosure as to electronics, neck, frets, etc. They have more than their listing reputation at risk.
I have called stores listing guitars and haven't had a problem.
Just don't say "go Ducks" :D or "go Beavers" :mad: . The "Civil War" is in a couple of weeks between Univ of Oregon and Oregon State. You never know what side someone is on.

In my case it's AJ's fault for bidding on a guitar he wasn't going to buy. I'm taking the Tornado shopping for a case tonight. Good luck with the Thunderhead. |

I've been in Orcoast, Tony. Nice place, seemed like nice people. I don't get down to the south coast much anymore. Last time I was in Coos Bay was a couple years ago, visiting the K&K folks to pickup a pickup.
Iffy, it's a heck of a long drive for a bowl of soup. |

Probably Moe's, they sit right next to the beach and they've been there for as long as I can remember (they have 3 or 4 restaurants up and down the Oregon coast and are famous for their chowder). Actually though, we have a place a couple of miles from here in Wheeler that has even better chowder, the best I've ever had (The Sea Shack Seafood and Chop House) I like to plug good places whenever I can, Lord knows there's enough bad places out there who get erroneous good plugs! |

I'm wondering why no one has bid on this guitar -- do you think the price is too high? $600.00 for a vintage guitar doesn't sound too bad, but I don't know about such things.
