Joined: January 2006 Posts: 1486 Location: Michigan | i cant believe how a person can keep a voice going for 30 years or so and still sound like you did when you were young ( a 20 year old ) and just starting out in the yes group.i always had a horrible singing voice ( as a 20 year old ) and now it has reached an all time horrific sound ( as a 55 year old ) according to the wife and i have to agree with her on it .check out jon anderson at 50 something.GWB http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WybjHMUTFhM | ||

My guess is most of the screamers will lose it faster. ie James Taylor sounds exactly the same but JT hasnt strained a note in 40 yrs. But I do get the benefit of seeing some old timers at the Ryaman. The acoustic are the world finest and everybody brings their A game.. nobody wants to stink up the Ryman. Saw Boz Scaggs a few Month ago, He still's got it. Saw Bonnnie Raitt a few weeks ago she still got it. My vote for the Lost it award is Elton John and he lost it YEARS AGO. But still like to listen to the old stuff. | ||
