Ya know we expect a full report if ya get it. There's not much info on that model out 'there'.

I personally feel those honest/ethical members are much more valuable and representative of what the OFC is supposed to be. at least it USED to be that way.... Good luck to whoever gets it. He is one of the biggest cheerleaders and proponents of this board and forum, and I am proud to know him as a man, friend, and member here. and I truly feel that he would not take advantage of a seller's ignorance/lack of knowledge on the instrument they had for sale... I know that for myself and others... when we have seen an Ovation/Adamas going for a ridiculous/uninformed price or mis-represented as to what it really was, I have notified the seller as to what the approximate value/rarity of the instrument was, and suggested that they reconsider their asking price, or at least put it up for a regular auction instead of a BIN... some have listened and thanked me for my help and info... others have told me That's all they want... and will sell it for the listed price. and that's about all I'll have to say about that. Regards, Glenn

Bobbo told Moody to grab it if it was not broken and if Johnny didn't want it, he'd flip it. I called Moody and told him I was already on it. I said that I spoke with the seller and took care of things. Iffy then said that he was sending offers to the seller. Now that I know that Johnny = Iffy, I find it even crazier. He was not only driving the price up, he was bidding against himself, as I thought we were trying to grab the bass for bobbo's friend Johnny. I was the one looking at the guitar to make sure it was not broken. There is probably a very good reason for the asking price (usually requiring a trip to Mother). Glenn, Iffy, your assumptions today did not serve you well. Glenn, What you wrote is completely opposite my nature.

I guess I must definitely be wrong, even if it was my "opinion" and "observations" to the thread that were commented upon.. as has been demonstrated many times before.... there is a double standard and Hierarchy in the memberhip here and in their(elders/original OFC)'s treatment, tolerance, and censureship.... guess it's just the new way of the world on the OFC... though other acronyms with those initials are lately seeming more and more appropriate. go for it Bruce! maybe it will clear some grumpiness from your life. It's a nice bass, and a rare one at that... hope he gets what it's worth out of it. Glenn

For lack of a bathroom door, maybe the PM button might be a good second choice? Just my opinion, y'all carry on in the way you think is best.

When I talked to Moody late in the afternoon, after you has posted, he did not say anything about you looking at the guitar for my friend. And we addressed the subject directly. Glenn, you've been around here since very nearly the beginning. I can't believe you of all people, with all the things people did for you in the early days, are spewing this crap about "the old guard". I don't care what your member is now. I don't understand what you are trying to accomplish by driving a wedge where none belongs. There are good people no matter what their member number is, and there are assholes no matter what their member number is. Occassionally people can be both, but that's the price for being human.

Nothing has changed except for preconceived intentions clouding individuals perceptions. If you automatically react to someone in an adversarial fashion, you eventually turn them into your adversary. if this isn't broken, you ought to go over and snag this immediately. If Johnny doesn't want it, I'll... Dave, you enjoy throwing fuel on fires. If you felt it necessary to jump in, you should try to help rather than insult. If you have nothing constructive to add to an already volatile situation, please don't hit enter. Glenn, This thread started out with bobbo suggesting to do something nice for Johnny. Moody wasn't aware of it when I gave him a heads-up and he was going in the other direction. I took the ball and ran with it and thought I was doing good, but when I check back, the thread and situation is going south. Now this morning, Dave has dragged us to the toilet. I don't know Johnny and I didn't know he was Iffy, yet I was acting in the spirit (that you say is gone) to snag a guitar for a stranger... what's wrong?
