I was wondering if anyone would be interested in having a gathering in September. There is a good possiblity that I will be in the Syracuse area on September 9th and 10th, and thought it might be nice to have a gathering on that weekend.

If anyone is interested, please PM me and maybe we can get something going!

Isn't that Weaser's neck of the woods?

Yep, that is definitely his neck of the woods.

I don't know who else is out in central/western NY though.

What a great idea! You should definitely do it. But it's not possible for me. Have fun everyone!

Depends how far north. Cuse is about 3.5 hours for me.

You know the old saying...

Hey, it isn't near where I live either. I just figured that no one would want to come to Albany. ;)

C'mon you bunch of Eastern weenies. What do you mean it's too far? 3 or 4 hours is nothing. That's about 30 miles in LA. Albany and Syracuse are right next to each other. Portland is 6 hours for me in the Honda, 432 miles. 300 miles round trip is a nice drive. Just drive faster.

Where I come from, some people consider a half hour drive to work a long time!

Syracuse isn't too bad a drive from where I am (about 3.5 hours).

Just giving you guys a hard time. I realize that it's harder to drive when there are other cars on the road. I've also driven from here to San Diego without stopping except for gas. About 13 or 14 hours. It was a great trip until a Nevada deputy sheriff interrupted my solitude on the way back.

Understand!! I drove 16 1/2 hrs to the SSSJ III
Jam back in Sept. It was tough doing it alone.

It's JUST MY exCUSE to not go near anything Orange! (Syracuse and Knoxville TN :p )

Michelle, Albany is 1 1/2 hours max for me. Why not have a Gathering there?? ;)

I can sure understand the orange aversion. They need to mix it with something more appealing, like blue.

Grrr...I just found out that the date for my group meeting may (the key word is may) be moved up to September 7 and 8.

I am still planning on having a gathering that weekend of Sept. 10-12. Just don't know where it will be yet. Could be in the 'Cuse area (definitely not downtown!).

Bob's suggestion of Albany is looking good, although Lake George and Woodstock could be fun.

Any suggestions/help would gladly be appreciated!

Michelle

Oh, let's not be hasty. I think some would insist on that.
