Random quote: “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” -Plato

I picked up one of his books at a yard sale and after reading about 30 pages I didn't really feel like continuing.... kinda preachy. I decided to pitch it in the trash, now the guy up and dies on us. Now I feel guilty about the decision. Maybe I'll finish it after all.

Paul, sometimes a man has to put his foot down and make a stance!
I suggest the "Yes dear, you are so right, what was I thinking" stance...

I didn't remember that Art Linkletter's show was called House Party. I recall the Kid's Say the Darndest Things and a show or maybe it was a book, Kids Still Say the Darndest Things. Mom thought it was a bit too suggestive for us kids at the time. I definitely remember his daughter's suicide and the impact it had on my thinking about drug use.

Talking about a show that ended in 1970 and you refer to "the early days." Gotta love the old farts.

Got the opportunity to chat with Art some years ago in Vail. He was kind and young at heart... exactly what you'd expect.

Canadians age funny.
I maintain it's the winters. Being frozen half the time means we age half as fast as everyone else.
