The Aussie membership is the biggest it's ever been and we're hoping for a good turnout. (biggest previous 'record' was 4) There will be the best collection of Ovations (and a spattering of inferior 'other brands') outside the US - possibly outside Connecticut. AJ has OK'd inviting any of the US membership to join us. Brisbane in November. How can you resist. The only criteria is, you have to bring at least one of AJ's guitars over with you.

I'd pay to watch it! Muzz, sounds like a great time (as soon as I recalculate that Summer is in November)!

Regretted it ever since.

For anyone wondering about the weather in Brisbane at that time of the year, I have two words for you: Hot and humid.

This will be a pleasant escape from the late November cold in the US. Seriously, who wants to be in the US at that time of the year? Cold and unpleasant, but without the pretty snowfall. Come to Australia and enjoy the weather, most of the country has delightful weather at that time of the year. If you ask nicely, you might be able to crash at some OFC member's houses in other parts of the country to really make a trip of it.

Plus, I would love to dive/snorkel the GBR... That's not counting sniffing all those 'O' and 'A' cases AJ has! Besides, I could mule a couple of AJ's gits for a lot less than the price of a tropic wardrobe!

Hey you Yanks, we're serious about getting some of you over here for some good ol' Aussie hospitality and weather. Schroeder, if you want that lunch, this will be your best chance. Ignore TAFKAR's 'hot and humid' comment - he's really from Canberra. (You'd think he's be used to 'hot and humid' with all that hot air...) Trust me, the weather in Brisbane in November will - be - perfect! 7 months away. Start saving and planning.

What a great time with some great people. I hope you guys have as much fun, and I will be there in spirit, unless I hit the lottery. Then my spirit and I will both be there.
