I don't know much of this model and I only know 2 including this one but according the pics, it's a fantastic looking instrument. Maybe it has been produced as a ltd series for Japan only??? Some will say that it's more an Ovation than an Adamas guitar and they will probably be right because she don't have a carbon top but it doesn't matter, I love it. The main specs are Cedar top, Adamas fan bracing, Epaulets sound holes, walnut Adamas fretboard and 2" nut width (to be confirmed). To hold such a rare and nice guitar in my arms was so unexpected and it will be soon a reality. Be sure that I'll post some detailed pictures as soon as she will be at home in 3 or 4 weeks. I have its steel string brother (a 1982 prototype) with many similarities (shape, bowl, epaulet detail, purfling detail, fret board and markers). This nylon string version looks new and is gorgeous. What are the electronics?

Man, Ovation really is not in touch with reality, there are so many great models that we all dream about like this one that if they were available and affordable we would be so crazy about them and buying them too! But forget custom orders, too much money. Like I have been looking for an Adamas 1881 super shallow bowl and can not find one, and so are many other OFCers, looking for a looooooooong time and nothing. Oh well, congrats Jerome.

Every morning and evening, I'm watching the sales on Ebay, on online shops in USA and Japan. This one was in Japan and I was lucky to get it. It would not have been possible without my contact in Japan... ;) Dave is right, it looks like a Nylon 1537. I don't know how it will be sounding because the Adamas Fan bracing is surely not the best for Nylon string but I'm confident, it's an Adamas... I'll post an mp3 to listen to its sound when it will be in France. J :) ![]()
