Joined: December 2004 Posts: 2150 Location: Orlando, FL | I went to Sam Ash tonight with my wife to pick up mandolin strings. There has been an Adamas II hanging there for well over a year. My wife keeps wanting me to buy it. The price has dropped a couple of times but I never felt the price was right for my comfort level. After my wife talked them down $400, I just couldn't say no. Who am I to hurt her feelings? Got it home and cleaned it up, wow, I'm glad my wife is so persuasive!

I'm waiting for the part of this fairytale where you ship the guitar to me… ;)

It had been there so long, I think they just wanted to move it. She has always thought it was a pretty guitar, but I just wasn't interested at the higher price. It has some pretty serious fretwear in places, but otherwise it plays and sounds great. What really sealed the deal for me was when I plugged it in - awesome sound! I'll take some pics soon. Great guitar, great wife!

She kept after me to get it and finally, when the loan was approved on the new house, I did get it. Keeper guitar, keeper wife. Just like you..... Congrats!

I have never discussed a guitar or any other related gear purchase with SWMBO before bringing it home, and most often, don't discuss even then. She has little interest in my guitars, and as long as I continue to pay all the bills, including hers, she doesn't care what I do in the bandroom.
