I just got word that the roadshow is coming to the great Pacific Northwest.

November 2, 2010 @ Hugo Helmer Music, Burlington, WA

November 3-4, 2010 @ Ted Brown Music, (TBA Eastern and Western WA locations)

November 5, 2010 @ Bellevue American Music, Bellevue, WA

November 6, 2010 @ Apple Music, Portland, OR
I think we can put a "gathering" together in a month... nothing fancy... but I have the space, and can get more. Hugo Helmer is 5 minutes from my house.

I have not contacted the local rep yet (I just found out) but will. We may have some interesting pieces to bring to the event at the store.

For those not from around here.. THIS IS A BIG DEAL !!!! Ovations are few and far between. Most of us with even small collections own more Ovation guitars than probably all of the Ovations in stores in Washington state at this time put together.

It looks like they are hitting EVERY music store in the state aside from Guitar Center and a couple of small shops. Very Cool !!!!!

I'll be watching for the Eastern Washington locations. We have a Ted Brown's Music in both Yakima & Kennewick. I will also pray for no snow on Snoqualmie Pass, around that time! November 2-to-4 is midweek, unfortunately. Portland on a Friday.
Would be great if there was a stop somewhere on a Saturday.

I gotta get that date from Apple Music Row!
(There weren't nuthin' on their website)

I gotta stop in and see Chuck anyway, there haven't been any Ovations in the Acoustic Store's front windows the last few times that I rode by there on the train.

I can make it to Kennewick in 4 hours or less, but it looks like Friday the 5th is Bellevue, so maybe Portland is Saturday the 6th. That may be a better option for me. Second best may be to fly to Seattle for the weekend. Good incentive to visit our daughter.
Maybe they'll come through Boise on the way back, but if they don't stop at GC, there aren't any other Ovation dealers here anymore.

Count me in for the Burlington and Ted Brown Tacoma events.
Good excuse to call in!

Mark, it's only $139 rt from Boise to Seattle or $150 to Bellingham (via Seattle).

I know. I've bought that ticket for my daughter a couple times. I have a bunch of relatives in Portland, though, and the weekend works better. I didn't know Ted Brown was in Tacoma. We still haven't visited our daughter who is going to school there. Lots of birds to kill on this roadshow. I will have to make at least one.

I think Tacoma is "The MotherShip" for the Ted Brown chain. That's where the ads are postmarked, anyway.
Yeah, OK, the 6th is a Saturday; so sue me. Oh, should I be saying that to an attorney?!

Any idea on what time the events start? Horrible timing, I'm going to be in Tacoma all that week in class until 9 at night ; ;

I was disappointed when the first set of dates came out and didn't see PNW on there, but now this is even more frustrating!!!!

The door has already been re-enforced... (or reinforced) really it has.

So, you're saying I should start a little farther back?

Miles, if you get any updates on the times, please post them. I keep checking the website, but they don't have anything current and we'll need a bit of lead time to make plans, plane reservations etc. to travel that far.

I sent a request for info to Ted Brown's Music, to determine their times & locations. I'll post when I get a response.

Ovation has the new dates and places on their site now. Richland on Wednesday and Tacoma on Thursday. I might try to make Bellevue on Friday, but most likely I'll try Portland on Saturday. They are hitting California and Arizona next.
